Yes, I picked Road America to try it out and I had to check that it wasn't front wheel drive. I removed the front ARB and that stopped understeering off round Carousel but in my clumsy hands it was a bit tricky elsewhere. Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Out of curiosity, how does the Nissan GT4 behaves in the Motec logs compared to this one? I wonder if this lift behavior was there before and got worse after the Ferrari or it was introduced with that car. Still weird to see this hitting cars not made by S397 anyway
Just got my first drive with the GT4 and practiced Ibarra at night. NO DASH LIGHTS! Felt good tho, ffb on my CS 2.5 felt very natural, the road surface may have been a little bumpy as I was getting a slight notchy feeling. I'll have to find one of those glass smooth Eff One tracks to see if it's me or the car.
I recorded video with my ffb issue this was on 6 smoothing, 0 torque and 50 multiplier S397 cars working perfect with 0 smoothing, 1.5 torque and 80-100 multiplier so idk what's the problem
@instinkt if i were you i would delete controlers.json from Steam Games\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player plus Thrustmaster drivers reinstall
Great mod . I tried it for 7-8 laps but a lot of under steering. I will see to play with the ARB to try to reduce the under steering.
I think that's a different type of lift, though I don't have the Ferrari. But if we're talking 'car flies over crest' lift, I think that's a different issue and not related to 'normal' aero. I took the Nissan GT4 for a quick run, it produces 655/700 N downforce at 230kph. Compared to this GT4 doing -410/2160 at 250kph, with the lowest wing. (Yep, you read that right...)
Ferrari lift glitch was because of height sensitivity iiric. Looking forward to trying out this gem. Apparently there are some fundamental potential issues about aerodynamic balance. Hopefully gets solved soon. I suppose Cup car should be fine with less fancy aero, isn't it ?
Alpine series is very fantastic. Thank you. This is Alpine GT4's torque & power on the race. Looking at this, it seems that GT4 has only 270hp, However I heard that the GT4 have over 330hp. Would this be okay?
Have a similar issue with my T500. Not changing my settings for one vehicle. I'll wait until there is an update...
Great mod! Even though I did not lock the brakes with ABS, I felt vibration like a flat spot when I made a long run. I felt that the vibration increased when it was worn, so I made a steady state circular test. As a result, Motec was able to confirm that the FFB output increased as the wear progressed. Is this correct?
Lovely mod - thankyou for this! The only 2 things I have personally noticed which would be great if you could please take a look at in the next update are: The near clip plane seems to be set too far from the drivers head such that in VR parts of the car clip out of view way before your head actually reaches the object, like the door on the left and a bit of roof which is quite immersion breaking. This can be corrected by reducing the distance of this clip plane for the car. The second is the really loud sound when hitting gravel like a few others have noticed. Love that mod... but one question... is the AI so good or am i to slow or is that Alpine AI cheating? No other (AI) car beat me at my fav tracks but the alpine with ease! I am not telling you that i am a real fast guy and i am happy when i have an AI that is fast and faster than me... but it seems very fast :-D
