if you experience any issues with the new version, then please follow the instructions listed here to revert everything: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 Then try to re-install Better-UI Please keep in mind that you need only one jar file: net.rfactor2.ui.framework.jar
Another new version is out: I forgot to update saved password on input field change. This has been fixed in version 2.0.1. Download: https://github.com/Cselt/rf2-better-ui/releases/tag/v2.0.1 You just need to download latest framework jar file and overwrite the existing one. After that you should see Better-UI v2.0.1 in the bottom right corner.
On Watch, at the the Standings screen if you go to event info and back to camera, the chad box disappears. Going to Setup and back to Watch, the chad box appears again, seems there is some kind of screen refresh missing.
Is there only 1 .jar file needed from now on because that is all you can download in the 2.0.1 version?
Correct, I merged all my changes into a single jar file. This helps me integrating my changes once a new rF2 build will be available.
A new version is available with the requested remember selected multiplayer server filters feature and fixes for the new chat window. Download: https://github.com/Cselt/rf2-better-ui/releases/tag/v2.1.0 Donate me, if you like my work so I can spend more time on this project: https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=FMYT6S758CDUN Changelog: Code: Version 2.1.0 Added - Remember selected server filters Fixed - Display rf-chat on tab change - Fix server admin commands in rf-chat
Thank you very much for your time and your work ... finally someone listens to the users ... congratulations
Well, I see no difference at all, maybe I'm doing something wrong, just copied the jar file and overwritten the one in bin/bundles but nothing changed. OK, found my issue, old file was only renamed but with the same extension as before (jar). Changed it to something else (e.g. bkp) and it worked.
Would it be possible to add a "RACE" button from within the "session settings" menu? You know where you configure your opponent and practice/quali/race settings? Instead of having to go back to main menu to press race.
Hi @Cselt Thank you very much. Could be possible to make an installer? Thid would do your UI much more accesible.
Yes of course. Many people don't know anything about copying and pasting files. Also, you have to know the rF2 path to paste the files. Some people don't even know what a path is. A tool similar to Lazza's rF2_DAMPlugin_Handler could be very useful. I am thinking on a tool that switches between the official UI and this one. In case of rF2 update, you can start the tool and choose the user interface that you want.
If a user does not know how to copy paste two files, let him go to play ... I think the explanation is clear, or if not, ask here in the thread, I do not see anything else necessary in the installation, with what interface use the same as before on Steam ...
Watch tab, when you set camera view to Full Screen and go back, the chat display is not displayed again.. You need to go to another tab and back to Watch tab to get it back.
Well, that's got me confused as I thought that there was only 1 file - the 2.1.0 jar file. What other file needs to be copied?
