Looks great so far. Comparing the last screenshots from Le Mans and the screenshot from Yoss, have you guys managed to fix the windscreen? In the last screnshot for example the windscreen should reflect the light similar to the car body, pretty much how it looks in Yoss' screenshot, but it seems to be totaly transparent allmost as if it was gone. Also great to know that the mirrors as an upgrade option are being looked at. Thanks for all your efforts ;)

I can see what you're saying about the windscreen.

I think that might be due to a change in the latest version of the mod or shader differences between
dev mode and non-dev mode (yoss's screenshot is from an older mod version in dev mode).

Yoss - if you agree that the windscreen needs more reflection/specular, I could help look into it if you want? More than happy to leave it to you though if you got it covered.

Excellent, thank you very much Yoss.
The 917 update is excellent too.
Looks like I'll have to put some jingle in a Christmas Stocking this year.

That guy was Pierre Levegh in 1952 who missed a shift in the last hour, having driven since the start of the race

re news article:...and I read that owner got 'cancelled' (as it's called today) because of the outrage he took in suing the journalist who broke the engine, otherwise he got ostracized by the community

@Godwind Racing No. We talk about 917K blowing up. I can not find original interview with Brian Redman where I learned this fact from. But with quick search I have found this bit of information: "While holding a seven lap lead Siffert missed a gear at 2am on Sunday in the last remaining JWAE entry. He came into the pits with oil pouring from the exhaust pipes; the engine had been over-revved to 9600rpm." That happened in 1970 Le Mans race.

As for David Piper. I have no idea what happens in particular social layers, nor it is my business. But I really hate those words: "cancelled", "ostracized". I could believe that it could happen to a man who stands up for something these days. David Piper is very respectable man, just seen in faceebook yesterday that he just turned 90.

Love to ask, though they are not 1970, will we get the 1969 and 1971 cars (such as the Ferrari 512M which is a rebuilt 512S for privateers, the infamous 1969 917 and the famous Pink Pig)
    Look forward to these

We might pursue a 512M. We will look to add the 512S CL (long tail) and Spyder at some point. The 917K will be given less attention, we might consider the 1971 model but the priority will be working on the Matra and Alfa Romeo to conclude the 1970 field.

We will also aim to provide the correct team entries and liveries for the cars so we'll be trimming down the existing 917K options but we fully expect that community skin pack to be revived.
