This can be made mod specific.... some mods have their own pit crews already. Can't remember which ones off the top of my head though.
Even skip the animated for now. Skinnable static crew, heck have 3 or 4 variations to cover most normal series (modern F1 style crew wouldn't look right in a 70s stock car mod, or the reverse). Just like in devmode. So much better than the arrow. "Won't look right if not animated, and then will take a lot of work to look right with different cars and pit stop types" is the usual reason. The arrow looks stupid in a sim, is what I think. Plus when they're skinned you can enable them all! And it looks great! (Try enabling all "crews" with the arrows...)
even if they have no movement ,,, It will always be easier to detect the mechanics ,, than to look for a red arrow where your box is. It has been enabled in the mod for a long time, you just have to install it
https://forum.studio-397.com/index....red-arrow-pit-box.53082/page-2#post-999613:);) pd.-If it works in multiplayer, you can also enable in the json if you see only your pit or that of all the pilots I think there was another post or an exact tutorial but I don't remember where it is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\ModDev\Scripts you have to copy them and package them together with the rest .mas of the Mod files in an rfcmp
I just had a quick look at my Pitbox in my Dev Mode with the old UI, there's just a red box, same as the game. I know it used to be 5 guys with a fuel pipe, from memory. So are you on the new UI to get this pitcrew? SS
To make a custom pit crew or whatever, you just need an object called startbox.gmt, it can't be animated(yet). Has to be included with the car.
Looks like I haven't done a pitstop in devmode for a while, you're right - no more static pitcrew in there. But that doesn't mean it's not possible just like before, so if there's one for download or included in a mod then it'll still work - devmode or single/multi player.
To get the static Pit Crew in DevMode back, replace the existing pits.mas File, in the Folder ..\rFactor 2\ModDev\Scripts with this one:
