The Reverb G2 is starting to become available and it looks to be a great headset. I'm on a Rift S at the moment and after a colossal amount of tweaking I've eventually got decent image quality at a fairly stable 80fps. Binning Steam VR in favour of opencomposite made a large difference.

Now to my question, binning the RiftS for the Reverb G2 will mean that I can't use open composite, right? Am I right in thinking that open composite is purely for oculus headsets? If so then that would mean running the Reverb G2 in Steam VR, so it's likely that any benefit that may be gained from it's fantastic screen resolution and colours will be cancelled out by shocking fps.

Is my assessment correct or not? Rfactor2 is my go to racing sim and whilst I would love the Reverb G2 I see little point if it doesn't run well.
