Hello everyone! Since rF2 ruined AC for me and any other sim really there is not much for me to do anymore. I find GT3 cars disgusting, also track racing but I can have fun with DTM cars from 90s (there is only one so far that I know of in rF2, Merc 190 evo) on Nordsleife mostly. So to my question. Are there any TARMAC rally or hill climb stages and cars I can at least buy. I will gladly pay for such content, just please tell me there is this kind of content and where I can send my money to! Becoming desperate here. ;( Regards, T
I found a couple: http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/index.php?topic=3446.0 http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/index.php?topic=4773.0 https://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Pecs Hillclimb http://www.mediafire.com/file/aas14tqgbjtibt9/CoppaCarotti.rfcmp/file https://files.simracing-gp.net/download.php?S=rFactor2&T=Tracks&F=PikesPeakHC.rfcmp https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/transfagarasan-asphalt-hill-climb.45991/ And don´t forget the beautiful Targa Florio.
Wow, thank you so much, It is a very good start! Also, I did find Hill climb championship and will be participating, but as I understood admin on their discord is that content will not be ready for a few more months at least. Worst case scenario beginning of the next year since they are in 'update mode' and there is no content available until the championship. Really looking forward trying those stages in the evening! Also did you maybe came across any cars. If not, I guess my trusty E36 M3 and 2002 turbo will do. Thanks again for the links!
I think I saw a WRC once on the Steam Workshop. If not I´m sure they will have it at ISR: http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/index.php?board=66.0 Rally is too much for me, driving them is too hard even without adding the handbrake to the equation. Kudos to you rally guys, cheers. Edit: Found it: http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/index.php?topic=3522.0
My advice is targa florio There is a new version that you can find on the targa florio topic (this forum).
Mate, you are a life saver! Thank you so much! It is hard to have fun for me without some handbrake action. Targa Florio is beautiful, I drove it in AC, can't wait to try it in rF2. I will have to explain to my wife why I am not gonna be available this evening.
Looks like I have a problem trying to register to rFactor central. This is the message that pops out when I try to submit: There was an error with your submission. Please try again.
That one may be dead, try first in ISR. http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/index.php?topic=3972.0
Check this one too, I´ve seen a couple of rally mods and several tracks. Mods: http://downloads.xtremefactor.es/descargas/viewcategory/52-mods-rfactor-2.html Tracks: http://downloads.xtremefactor.es/descargas/viewcategory/82-tramos-de-rally.html
I could get only 2 tracks to work. Sadly that does not include Targa Florio. Also, those wrc cars are seriously broken regarding FFB and physics, it is a shame really. Is there a solution for a situation where .rfcmp package is not shown in game content to be installed (Pikes Peak and Targa Florio in this case)? However I could get Karelia Cross, Desende du Minier and Coppa Carotti to work! Also, why can´t I register to rFactor central, not even with real name? There is a link of Pecs Hillclimb which looks super tasty. P.S. Is it ok to just delete the package file from rFactor/packages or is it necessary to uninstall it in game first?
You can delete the rfcmp file from packages folder once you installed the track, it´s not necessary to keep them since they are already in /installed/locations/ Some tracks I installed didn´t work in the new UI but when changed to the old one they did.I´d first tryreverting to the old UI to see if that´s the source of the problem. Other thing you can do is uninstall the track, in this case Pikes Peak. Then delete any remaining folder related to the track in these places: \rFactor 2\Installed\Locations \rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings Then try to reinstall it again. About cars, I don´t know anything about rally cars, the only one I tried was the 207, which had the Tarmac/gravel option. I loved it but can´t tell you anything more. I think rFactor Central is dead, I tried to download something from there but couldn´t. The other place with plenty of rF2 resources is RaceDepartment: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/categories/rf2-tracks.17/?order=title&direction=asc
Didn't know that, thank you! 207 is fun, it is nothing like cars from WRC package. Although I still think 207 needs some tweaking as well, but it is ok as it is. Weird thing with 207 though is that handbrake is missing.
But even not having handbrake can you use it? I mean the same way you can use paddleshift in a theoretically manual geared car.
Hahaha, it is the other way around for me, I use H-pattern even in GT3 cars in rF2. I meant handbrake is nonexistent at least for me, when I pull it, nothing happens.
Oh, so the car has to be created with handbrake, I thought any car would react to the handbrake, even the Lemons
I know now for a fact now that there are people on this forum with a lot of hillclimb/rally stages and cars as well. The fact they do not want to share just feels weird. This is really sad for such a small community, I kind of feel disappointed in all this. rF2 itself feels less joyful now. Too bad there are not more people like @svictor, he is not afraid of sharing his beautiful work.
Check this one out, the Alps one I think is free, and the Transfagarasan sure will be great when they release it next month. https://www.simtraxx.net/shop/category/rf2-traxx/
there is also a French league with french famous hill climbs at ffsca.org see https://www.facebook.com/MCCffsca but sorry in french only
