Just for curiosity This is Luigi Colani Eifelland E21 innovative project and car debut After initial tests the car changed many areodynamics parts with march parts because of cooling problems and efficiency But no improvements to the cars performance came with any of these changes. In the end of the season team owner had lost interest, the team being disbanded with 3 GPs still to run. The car found its way to Hexagon Racing at the end of the year, now looking like a standard March 721 John Watson 1972 Victory Race at Brands Hatch:
i know that the development of this mod is still in progress but i hope you will fix the rain weather graphics bug where the interior of the cab resembles leopard patterns this bug is only visible in rainy weather. it is obviously a raindrops reflection error.in dry weather the cab looks great and in otherwise the mod is very good like sounds and .driving modeling thanks for this mod
we must edit the tires size from the Lotus, but when I look on the Brabham for me is something wrong with the proportions
I think the biggest issue is the scale of the driver compared to the car itself and his position in the car. Even in those days engeneers understood to lower the COG by lowering the drivers position as much as possible. And there are other issues with parts of the car that look to be scaled in wierd ways if you take a look at historical photos. Have you tried putting the bt20 wheels on your car?
Beside the fact that Chief is proposing a great, innovative mod for RF2, and looking at his skill in modeling vintage cars, here are my impressions about dimensions: S 397 cars have surely a disproportioned helmet driver, and maybe a little bit large tyres in their diameter, compared to the cars. In Chief’s mod I found actually a realistic proportions for helmet driver, but maybe tyres are a little bit short in diameter respect to their ideal realistic size. The width is correct for me, but there is another feature that is not properly dimensioned for me: it’s the rear wheel trackbase. For me is just a little bit too wide, and this is the motive for which tyres are appearing also maybe smaller than those they are. Look at the Ferrari F1 1969 to understand what I mean. But of course, these are only my thoughs...and maybe I can be wrong. Thank You, Chief
I think there are alot of factors playing into the perception of scale. Something to keep in mind is that in those days teams used different rims and tire specs and cars had widely varying car specs as regulations weren't as tide as today. So bearing in mind that Chief built a general early 70s car body I would say his car def. looks quite good despite the fact that he didn't build a Lotus 49 with detailed specs.
@hitm4k3r, yeah, you are right, it is a mix from all this years, so to use only one set of tires for all this years I had to do a compromise, and I think it is a good one
