So since rFactor2 doesnt seem to have any Ultrawide perspective correction, I wanted to do what iRacing does, setup tripples manually and adjust angles since my 49" is curved, it works nicely in iR and ACC has built in corrections. I adjusted the DX11 ini file to be able to do this and I can bring up the Triple tool ingame and make it all nice and neat. There is just 1 problem, as you can see, it draws a vertical line where the center and right side threshold would be. Does anyone know how to get rid of this please? It only does this in 1st and 3rd person cameras, the trackside and TV cams are fine. If I move the "space" between screens on the tool, it doesnt do anything to this line, its always there no matter the settings.
Looks like a possible bug, but are you sure the multiview is configured correctly? Check in the ini file in case there's some sort of rounding error. I have actual triples and don't want to go faffing about with the ini to test this on a single screen or windowed, but that line would still be visible on my screen if it were there so I'd hope it's just a fractional error in the figures.
There's a simple mathematical reason for this... 5120/3 = 1706.667, you can't split that into 3 with a exact number of pixels per screen.
Thanks that makes sense, I assume there is no way to push that remaining line else where. Oh well, its nice to have but I dont notice the distortion that much during racing so it doesnt really ruin the game for me.
I also have a 49 inch screen and love it. Could you please share how you do this in the three games you mention?
I actually figured it out today. All I needed was create a custom resolution in NvCP that can be devided by 3. In my case 5118x1440. As for config, make sure the DX11 ini has the following set: SubViews=2 UseSubViewParams=1 in game ctr+alt+ "=" to setup tripples. Do this AFTER you changed resolution to the custom one in game and to be safe, to a practice race so you load it once, then quit and do the above and never open the vid options again works great, love it.
The file changes with subviews, do it after you test your new resolution ingame. NVCP is nvidia control panel.
Hi thanks for the tip! Have a problem thou. I can start the triple screen tool and adjust settings but only for "all" screens not the left and the right one. Meaning it's not possible to correct for the disorted edges of the ultrawide screen. I have a Samsung C49G95, 5120X1440p R1000. Using these settings in config_dx11.ini SubViews=2 UseSubViewParams=1 Do i miss something or is it impossible to mitigate the distortion in rfactor2? //Best regards
I installed reshade and the 2 effects, but then i get a kind of phish-eye effect in rfactor2. Did you change settings in the .fx files?
