so what's the catch, is it the camera he's recording with because it looks very realistic. this is what my rf2 looks like
Oh damn... his gameplay video surely looks too good lol There are several points to address: Your upload is from beginning of this year, rF2 has went trhough some graphical improvements in the middle of this year; Road Atlanta mod you are using here was updated to some new stuff recently; You are comparring two different tracks, morever - recorded in completely different ways; Silverstone is one of the fully updated tracks; That guy might be using some reshade or maybe it goes down to camera settings. It looks truly awesome in that Silverstone video. But there is one of more recent videos where he runs updated Nordschleife and everything looks too vibrant, oversaturated and contrasts are blown up... so I think he must either use reshade, or random camera adjustment. He also uses different weather, and he is in less close battles with oponents, s we can't observe how opponents cars looks; He is probably using maximum graphical settings; it seems like his camera is blurring frames a bit, so maybe it makes it look more smooth. Just pause a video and look at windshield wipers, they have some blur caused by previous frame.
Is this first video, for real rF2? I have never seen a hand move settings on the wheel like that and more over; the hand goes to the shifter in advance...... Never seen that either; it waits there on the stick to shift. And indeed; never seen this look so good. In the time all kinds of races were in tv because of the covid; BY FAR the worst looking was rF2. I mean; the boats in the harbour at Monaco......that was SO embarrassing......
Sorry perhaps I misunderstood you. Sounded to me like you have mistaken actual real players hands with virtual drivers hands.
Okay, job done; I feel stupid now! Now I also see the double instrument display...... However; the gloves DO have a "gamy" look to it; they don't seem all that real. Plus the shadow, the light; they just fit into the game screen. Ow well, I'm getting old
Capturing with a separate camera will always smooth things out a lot, then different tracks and weather. What's certainly not great is that terrible tyre screech sound, even in the wet. I really hope that gets some attention at some point.
