If they introduce sparks it will be fantastic but it should be with actual ground collision of vehicle, which is not present at the moment.
Underbody collision needs be implemented with its consequences on aerodynamic

Godrays aren´t artificial. You will notice them in the whole nature, if you look for them.

You are incorrect, they are visible with the human eye:

Thats new info for me, because i haven't encountered it in GTE cars i own.
In ACC i hit the underbody more often. The lack of sound effects in RF2 really doesn't tell much.

I have the undertray collisions working really well with the mod I'm currently working on - including aero effects and sounds. The only thing missing is the spark effects.

Agreed what seems like little subtle & fairly unimportant things adds a hell of a lot of extra realism & immersion

How about Turtle Heads For when you get it wrong and impact is imminent?
Maybe use some form of Automatic belt tightening around the stomach to force the event.

It will work in the future, be patient, the good side is that they are aware but as they have repeated several times, as long as they do not finish what they are doing now, nothing will be done with the AI.

see the bright side is not like the AI of this car

Looks like there’s some great stuff for us to look forward to. I noted there’s a Nurburgring update on its way. You may have seen a number of people having FPS issues since the PBR update. I was wondering if S397 have been able to replicate this and find what the issue is?

Everyone: Any chance of a decent simulated drivetrain/clutch? Or a user friendly server hosting system? Or an AI fix? Or proper environment/temperature simulation? Or some more advanced tyre physics like punctures or sidewall damage? Or improvement to the sounds?
Or an improvement of the damage model? Devmode in the new UI/VR?

Studio397: Errrrr... we have god rays.

    o_O

I'm hoping the UI and competition development doesn't drag on too much more as I'd really like to see some more advances on the core of the simulation to improve realism. I'm afraid all I'm seeing at the moment is graphics updates and new content.

Thankfully the only saving grace for rF2 at the moment is the fact that the other sims still haven't caught up with rF2 yet with regard to physics realism.

I am not sure if you watched the interview but the stuff you are mentioning is clearly on their agenda. The big question is: when? From my perspective they should focus on the stuff they have in the works and finalize it up to a point where there is only one UI and the base for the comp system, wich is planned for the end of the year. There would be nothing more annoying than telling people that they have abandoned the new UI and comp system to open a new can of worms, wich we quite frankly have enough of.
Tbh, I wouldn't bet on end of December looking back at the history of planned releases for any software developer in recent times.

That said, they have communicated that updating the gfx-pipeline is an ongoing process and I am pretty sure that god rays aren't the last word with new reflection systems, shadow tech and particel systems still on the list. Let's face it, having an attractive looking product with up to date tech helps selling it while this was basicly allways rF2s biggest weakpoint. Throughout the years under S397 rF2 lost it's trademark of being the ugliest duckling. Might be that S397 did something right, even if I consider some of the missing physics features as more important for myself.
