Hello guys! I couldn't find an existing thread about what I'm trying to solve...so I'm creating this one. Is it possible to set an accelerated drying rate in rf2, but using the rf2weather plugin? I mean.. in case of the track real condition is raining, but it stops.... so instead of having a slow drying rate of track, which would be the real situation, could I accelerate this process? Using time scale above normal, I can get the track wetting real fast, but I can't get the opposite process. Is that even possible? Thanks!
I have the same doubt ... I wanted to know about it for so long but I’ve never searched about it too. What are the factors that influence the drying speed in rF2?
The highest influence have probably the cars themselves. I remember I once tested 30AI in Donington on a full wet road without further rain. As the AI runs perfectly on a line at S/F straight, it did not take long to have a dry path there and a full wet, mirror looking road 1yard next to it. Pretty unrealistic It would be a cool improvement in the real road to have a dynamic flow of wetness. Say, every 10 seconds or so, neighbour vertexes exchange 1% of their wetness DIFFERENCE from higher to lower level. Sub from higher, add to lower. And it would be even cooler to control flow further by road inclination..
But can I accelerate this process? like.. time scale or something? does "Real road time scale" do this?
But think what Stefan told. The main factor to dry the track are the cars. You can accelerate the drying of the asphalt by itself, but not the drying due to the pass of the cars.
Thanks guys! I’ll have more friends helping to dry, but short races could happen completely dry or wet If I keep the normal progress... so that’s why.. I’m gonna use real road time scale to dose it. Hope it’ll be enough.
