Can somebody tell me if it is possible in rFactor 2 to race 2 races in the same race weekend as seen in multiple lowerclass racing series (GP2, GP3, WSR,...)

I thought with the implementation of World Series by Renault 3.5 this would be a standard feature but I cannot seem to find it... Would kinda suck would it not be implemented as so many racing series use this format... :)

Once more content is available...yes it will. Simply create a vMod that contains the Cars you want with the tracks....Done.

Correct me if I misunderstood you but I mean 2 races in the same weekend (Practice, Quali, Race 1, Race 2) :)

I believe I saw this, possibly in the multiplayer.ini of the dedicated server. However I have not tested it, though it would be good to use it (I would hope for a 'Warmup' session or something in between rather than just jumping straight to race 2 as with Race07).

Race 07 has a practice session in between races from what I remember...
Its called "Practice Session 2" and places a practice between the 2 races. So basically a warmup.

Race 07 goes straight from the first race into the second race.

I've made small progress as I have found out that there is a line in your PLAYER.PLR file that let's you select from 1-4 races :D Already tested it and it works: Practice, Quali, Race 1, Race 2

Same can be done for qualifying, so a sort of F1 style quali should be possible in rFactor 2

Will revert with the specific line in the file later (not on my rfactor pc atm)

Still would prefer to have a praccy, or warmup, in between races 1 and 2, so guess we will continue to do things the old fashioned way :)

I'm waiting for the first modded UI to include more Race Options, all this fiddling with PLR and other text files is so pointless half the time....just put it in game and make it easier/quicker! One thing that ISI has bugged me with since rF1!

I know this fourm is a few years old and RF2 has bean updated since. But if you are using the old UI for RF2, go into your Player.JSON file and look for this setting

    "GPRIX Num Race Sessions":1,

From there you can select how many races you want (Max 4) if multi races are your thing

    I hope this helps

A few? Don't you think that eight years is a bit too much? If Fulcoboy continues waiting for an answer, i envy his patience. :D

Last seen Jun 25 2012. He also found the solution himself in this thread.

Even though this thread is years old you still managed to help me out! The new UI gives you the option for multiple races but tried having 29 ai plus me and in race 1 and 2 only had 15 drivers on track, then race 3 had the finishing positions make up the full grid

I tried it on both the old UI with the Player file and the new UI and both have the same results, which i find is strange. I agree with you, the new UI is a really good start but its a beta for a reason. I'd love to know if i could edit the files to stop it from happening

Okay, I'll take a look around on the web and see if anyone else is having a similar issue regarding the AI spawning only half of the field.

And UI being in Beta would be understandable. But I still it has potential to be great though.
