tried 4 different GTE and GT3 cars and each had the minimum kpa set to 140. That also was the base setup pressure. So using the default setup automatically assigns the minimum pressure. (but it's much higher than before)

It has always been 140 kpa for the lowest if I'm correct. But it's well known that lowest is best. That's why nobody made a point of it, and actually is happy that its now default

Yes, lowest pressure is and was always the best setting.
There are no reasons to not drive with lowest tire pressures (which is also represented in the new default setups). I wish there were some drawbacks. It's quite a shame, that rF2 with its fantastic physics engine doesn't really care about tire pressure and also the influence of track temperatures on the tires.

Strongly that S397 reinvest time (a maximum) to improve its physical engine.

It was necessary 4 years ago and it should have been IMO one of the main priorities, now at the end of 2020 it is becoming.... URGENT !! (IMO)

Tire pressures of the the overall physical engine and are by far the most chaotic element to predict. Particularly for the modelmakers who might try to follow design intent of a given car.
