Here is a look at the upcoming update to the 1967 Endurance mod (which will also include some of those FvF / LM '66 Hollywood Movie Star Cars as a bonus). Taking them for a drive around Longford. In this vid the GT40-style cars are based on '66, the rest are '67. I also tried some Super-8 film simulation Also includes the accidental horn triggering cause by a not perfect connection between my t300 rim and tspc base (so you know when i'm pulling on the wheel in a panic) Spoiler: more info text Preview of the upcoming version of the 1967 Endurance mod (by woochoo and mantasisg) which is a modified Howston G4 from Studio 397. As shown, it will soon include some cars from 1966 (number 1, and number 2 feature here). These cars are inspired by Le Mans of 1966 and 1967. Unfortunately the car I was driving (the red #21 car from 1967, headlights on) was using the LM gear ratios which are a little long for Longford. A slightly shorter set would have been useful. The real life #21 car made it's way to Australia after the 1967 season and set the lap record at Longford in 1968, driven by Chris Amon. The horn sound is triggered by a loose connection in my steering wheel, so the horn goes off whenever i pull down a bit on the steering wheel. That usually only happens when i start to panic, so you can tell when i'm starting to panic in the video. Imagine wide eyes and gritted teeth when you hear the horn. I tried a Super-8 look for the inset trackside video for some extra character. This is still the standard version of Longford 1967 which is currently available on the workshop under Studio 397's account. Thanks to them for taking my project onboard and promoting it as they have. I expect to be working on an updated version of Longford soon.
another video of the 1966 additions to the 1967 Endurance mod's upcoming release. This video takes a combined inspiration from Le Mans Classic, the Ford vs Ferrari movie (aka Le Mans '66), and a little from the 1970 McQueen movie. 6m40 of AI driving. I tried to give it a bit of a film look. Spoiler: more info text Preview of the selection of 1966 cars that will be included in the next update of the 1967 Endurance Mod for rF2. The mod is based on the ISI/S397 Howston G4. Using historic cars on modern Le Mans is suggestive of Le Mans Classic grid/plateau 5 (1966-1971), which could include cars such as the Ford GT-40 MkII and Ferrari 330 P3. Those are also the cars that featured in the 2019 Hollywood film Ford vs Ferrari (or Le Mans '66). I've attempted to include some film effects in this video, adjusting the colouring, and adding some grain, flicker, and blur. My PC was struggling a little with frame rate, dropping to ~30fps, which has actually helped with the effect of film's 24fps. All cars are driven by the AI.
Yo guys! I thought I'd try something new! What do you think? SimRacing presented on "Next_Level v. 2.3"!
Here's race 1 from round 10 of the Xfactor Racing GT3 league, from Essington! I would love to see this track get a full rework up to rF2 standards.
I just bought and drove that car for the first time today at Dijon. Practicing for an SRL series. OMG I'm in love with it!
Thanks broski,no is my smoke texture and new settings in pcd file, only works in devmod tough,is a thing that the devs need to open to modding,Marcel already have request a sample, lets see if he like it hehe, also is needs more work
Here's round 11 race 1 of the Xfactor Racing GT3 league, got a great start for a change and then race nerves kicked in and I didn't push anywhere near as hard as I should/could have.
