thanks Postipate! Doesn't look too different than what I have, but I'll give it a try. I think perhaps the default controller profile may be my issue.
Oh I actually understood that part. I did try it, but it wasn't any better. I just noticed something that may clue me into my issue (and perhaps the mod(?)... I'm definitely not the authority on this though). The tire contact patch widget tells me that the contact is really small even at the default 15.1 psi. It's the smallest contact patch out of every mod I've tried of recent memory. Do you think there's some sort of issue there? BTW Thanks for your part on working on the car, apologies on leaving you out from my initial post.
No solution, but in another thread, a user felt the website rF2 suggested settings were light. Now you did notice a difference between other cars, but that thread might be worth checking out, it has some specific rF2 settings. The first post in the thread should have some info: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/fanatec-wheel-base-drivers.66464/#post-1031899
Thanks davehenrie, I'll give it a read. rF2 has been a source of enjoyment, but I have to admit, it's been a source of frustration for the last couple of years, and I think my CSW 2.0 wheel has been a part of that as well. To my misfortune the 2.5 came out about a month later and had some additional tuning that I thought would help the short comings of the 2.0. I'm definitely interested in reading about other user experiences with the hardware. Thanks again.
Love this mod! Running Imola 1972 and having issues not blowing my engine around lap 5- oil temp seems to hover around 207F. Any suggestions?
First of all thank you so much for this wonderful sim of a great car. I hope that your group will also consider the Ferrari 312PB, Matra 650,Porsche 908 and the Ford Mirage to go with this Alfa to create a great series.
for that cars consider there is also this WIP project https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/apex-modding-1970-sportscar-championship.61343/
anyone else seen any white square flashing intermitently while driving? Granted this was at the old Montreal track, but when driving it looked almost like a translucent flash but in very slow replay, it was clearly a white square. Didn't affect my driving, any more than usual that is, just very VERY brief flashes on all the cars that were visible.
@davehenrie no idea if it's the same sort of thing, but Andrea mentioned 'cockpit flashes' in his track related thread here. If you don't see these on a recently updated track I'd be putting the blame squarely on the old Montreal.
