Updated from a an older GTX & 32" TV that ran about 60-70 FPS, to an RTX 2080 & 42" 120Hz 4K TV with 11mS delay.
Typical lap time improvement right away, about 1-2 seconds per minute. I think in a large part because it provided a much better view of the distance ahead from the added resolution and faster screen painting; it typically runs at 118-120 FPS with occasional burps down to about 95-100 FPS.

That may not be the same experience for all, but it was for me.

The majority of my time is spent just taking laps with 3-9 AI's; tuning and testing various Formula/Prototypes/Vintage mods with a rare 10 lap race once I can match 100% AI settings for a given mod. Some mods like Group C (one of my favorites) takes a lower AI threshold as the AI competition level multpliers seem to be a bit excessive.

I tried a triple screen 4K but the RTX2080 slows down to about 80-90Hz and frankly with frame top mirrors I don't find any benefit for triples for my usage. Triples are great for online racing.
