Its nice, but would be even nicer if we could keep staying on topic.

Wats dat ting ? Perhaps someone could tell that thing in red circle ? How it works ? Why the rods are so funny thin ?

I hate Austin Healey, it should be super fun car, just can't solve it still. It was so great with independent rear suspension :D Now I am a bit off with its solid axle.

Though look at this, it is so simple, it is basically pre-war stuff, but it is nice:

Doesn't that help limit right/left axle motion?

It's the handbrake linkage. Gratuitous picture of the Frogeye I restored a lifetime ago:

Its very fun car, I wish there would be more like that offered these days, with good stuff from then, and with good stuff from now. But it is usually good stuff from now, and bad stuff from now :D

I think I got huge step forward with Healey Sprite Lemans physics, that our car should follow. Made some good improvements at rear axle. Tried to remove tracking rod and third link, but then the whole thing just breaks off the car. So I guess I have to use tracking rod and third link. Not entirely sure what to do with third link, but seems like it is ok where its now. Tracking rod was just placed in parallel with axle and this way it has minimum lateral motion, works well. Redone front suspension. Going from legacy howston to something that resembles actual Healey front suspension turned out to be pretty nice.

Some setup and .hdv tweaks and I got it to be pretty similar to this:

Not same car, but hardly different actually. If you want you can cancel inside front from lifting up by making rear stiffer, or front softer... thats all that is to it.

Currently still doing balancing for it. But I think the something thats left might be because of the tires. As good as they feel right now, they seem to "fall of the cliff" a bit too soon, they should fall by the edge for quite a bit before car would loose momentum. Working on that. Few other cars use same tire, and they kinda confirms this. Perhaps I only need to increase optimum slip angle for that tire some more...

mantasisg has be continuing physics work on this mod for a while, and in the last week I've started doing a few graphics improvements, partly spurred on by the new rF2 lighting. We won't have any updates in the next few weeks, but eventually we will.
Here, the addition of coloured ID lights on some cars, in the new rF2 twilight :D

I've also done some work adding the wet windscreen functionality.
It's conveniently based off the S397 G4 wet windscreen files.

It will probably take a big lump of work to get the 55 liveries compatible with the new IBL car shader, and so the wet drops on the body might not make it into the next version for that reason. But the wet windscreens ought to be ready :)

    vaguely similar screenshot :D

it's not overly flattering. I could look to improve the general shape of the front of the car.
And i don't think Belgium has the latest lighting setups (at least not in this devmode version i used). Equally the cars aren't running the latest body shader either. But hey, it's vaguely similar

Heyo, anyone know what this crosshair logo/icon represents? Seen here on Foyt's right shoulder, and the lower side intake on car 5 (and cars 1,2,3,4,5,6)
I've found it on the Shelby and Holman & Moody Fords at LM, but seemingly only in the race. So I'm wondering if it's nothing more than "invasion stripes" for the race, or if it's some Ford-related workshop's logo, or a supplier or some sort.

@woochoo: I know you're a stickler for details, like the Autolite logo. Just don't try to replicate the bodywork in that second photo. I think that's a user-applied feature. ;)

Thanks Jim, it was an unscheduled mid-race attempt to reduce rear lift i think
The car retired soon after, so i guess it didn't work?

Some readjustments to "not P4" brings good results. Few pictures of real, and virtual. On three wheels preferably.
