I am available too, but it seems like having contacts is more important than actually being quick

Agreed. It should be an easy enough bug to fix...

Question, I'm seeing the teams start to release their liveries. Will there be a V_LM skin pack released when the event is over?

I made the assumption by reading the announcement, the Le Mans special package would be available before the virtual official race tomorrow.
    No news, good news?

All fingers crossed, your hard work pays off and the coming event gives rF2 the chance to shine for the next 24 hours, S397!

Good luck and don't forget, to get some rest!

Red flag at 24h LeMans cause of technical issues (after 5 hours in race). What technical issues?
This happened one year ago at 24h Le Mans too, after that there was one month of bug tracking and fixing.
How could that happen again after one year, 20k people watching at youtube ...

EDIT: will organizers of big endurance simracing events still trust rF2 is stable enough to be the platform for such an event? Unfortunately i have to say, I doubt that.

Now you mean why no " rf2" logo in the event :)

This event could be a very big promotion or a very big fault

One driver had to plug in his wheel again, after his FFB was broken. While in game...
    I don't know a programm,that likes that while running.

I had that problem too in the past to reconnect my wheel while in league race. But cause of that there was no red flag set on that race. I just was out of the race.

EDIT: I guess it was the last time ACO was choosing rF2 to be the simracing platform for their 24h Le Mans virtual race. Regardless as much I think rF2 is the most realistic simracing platform, even more for endurance racing.

The Devil is in the details? If someone has a problem with his racing equipment on a multiplayer event is able to get the server down? Sorry, if that is the case it is just a very bad design. (can't even imagine how that technically is possible)

He should have been briefed by his pro gamers that there is a key you can/must assign. But maybe it was more serious, however this would be an exception.
Next time I sell myself as expert to a team, making good money.
Btw: some teammates of 24h races had to drive stints without Sound because it was gone suddenly...but difficult to say what is to blame for

    Why these technical problems occure,we will never know.Too many people/systems involved.It must not be RF2 alone..but I'm not a IT-Specialist,neither a native english speaker.
    But the GFX is outstanding!
Edit: Greger Huttu is a driver in the race, known from GPL days, where he was very fast.

yeah, i really love the GFX now at sunset. and yes, it is very complex to host such a big event. 50 racing teams and 8? drivers -> 400 drivers connected all around the world? that for sure is everything but not easy. So, looking at the problem, maybe S397 is doing great anyway (even with that one red flag)

50 drivers, average 25 or less ready for a swap, some tv spectators - not that much.
I was flying warbirds 20 years ago, with modem. Big events hostet 40 player. Ok it wasnt that smooth but it worked.
And in NO way a player could make the server crash!! (E.g joining a wrong way somehow)

I don't think that crashed the server so much as they reset the server to accomplish two goals, Let the guy get his wheel reset...Fanatec probably, this conversation has cropped up here recently. And get the biggest name in Racing back into the fray.
