Hello everyone, I just tested the new UI, it looks slick and performs nicely. But it's killing my eyes. I'm sensitive to light, which makes the bright white background completely unbearable for me. On desktop I have to squint, in VR it's unusable. Will there be ways to change the UI color or a dark mode? Thanks.
Just adding my support to this as I haven't been able to find any information to say whether this will or won't be implemented. The new UI burns my eyeballs, almost all pure white over 3 massive screens about half a metre away from my face. I can't use it, I really hope you guys give us a dark mode.
If white burns your eyeballs you have monitor brightness set way too high (most monitors out of box come with crazy levels of preset brightness). Not saying this shouldn't be implemented, but most web content is on white background still, so definitely something you can improve with brightness adjustment.
If you go to the S397 discord and have a look in the "ui-talk" channel, there is one chap who is already experimenting with alternate layouts, and I must say they look very impressive. This looks very nice but I would rather have offical skin for new UI improved because in my experience with old UI sooner or later there were problems when using custom UI themes, showrooms etc from modders.
