I posted a week ago about going from 27 to 32 monitors. i decided that 32 was going to be too big due to space limitations. so here i am again hoping i can get some advice. i have decided to stay with 27. For those who dont know i currently use 3 x 27 aoc ips 60htz monitors. so i feel stepping up to 144htz will be one improvement. questions: curves or flat? do i stick with IPS?
If you surf the other monitor thread recently made, it seems that below 32, curved monitor make not a difference. On the other hand 144Hz are for me MANDATORY for simracing, the kind of monitor depend then on your GPU as Nvidia and ATI use different methods and not al monitors work with both.
Cheers Comante. I have a GTX1080Ti but Gsync monitors are out of my price rance however Freesync are ok like this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-27G2U-...ld=1&keywords=AOC+27G2U&qid=1590998790&sr=8-1
if you plan to switch to VR do not invest in monitor, I had a 32 "144 hz with freesync and they are already compatible with nvidia and Gsync although not all models .... in any case that is a good monitor
Unless you have some sort of compensation software curved screens will introduce some perspective distortion, which is sort of against the spirit and reason for having triples in the first place. Might not be noticeable enough to matter though. IPS is an interesting one - aren't IPS screens still a little slower (response time) than others? Curved screens would seem to allow for non-IPS with less colour skewing. Then you're making the most of your 144Hz. Of course even with IPS 144Hz will be nice and smooth, if very slightly more delayed. For info: I'm on 60Hz 1ms TN panels. Not a fast enough driver for the 60Hz to be a performance hit.
