Hey guys, why is it that? At the real cars, you can adjust all and here are nothing. The FFB are very depending on that and that determines the understeer effect. In addition, the effect is very violent. If the car understeers, the FFB becomes too weak. If you could turn the tail higher, that could be avoided. In ACC you can reproduce it great. In addition, one notices with higher caster more clearly what the rear axle is doing. I hope somebody takes care of that because it would significantly improve the quality of the vehicles. Best regards
I just testet all cars from GT3 and GTE on the Nordschleife. In this table, you see, which cars can be have more, or an adjustable caster. Only 5 cars feels plausible and making many fun. I am sure, it's not the biggest work, to add the adjustable caster. Thank you for reading
I wonder as well, why Caster isn't adjustable on all GT3/GTE cars. Physics-wise it shouldn't be a problem, because the engine supports it. So ...@Studio397 ... what's the reason behind it? @Christopher Elliott @Marcel Offermans
The real cars can adjust the caster. It need a day, but it's possible (Adjust dome bearing, measure axis etc.). And the Ferrari 488 GTE also have it, too. Who has made the physics of that car and the all another, that I listet not with "nice", please?
The question isn't whether the cars are physically capable of it, but if the series the cars race in allows it.
When its not alowed, why all cars in the other simulatins don't has it? And GT3 is GT3. ACC also has it, too. I talked to a real driver and he says, clear, its possiblel but the most driver don't use it, because in the most cases are all fine. Here is that not fine, so i hope to can adjust it. My guess is that the cars that drive normally, according to the list, have a different physics developer. There are two completely different styles.
So (hopefully) let's wait for an official answer, if this is a race series restriction, part of a licensing deal or something else.
i really dont think a castor adjustment is part of a cars 'bop', bop is fuel load, top speed, horse power, not how well it turns into a frickin corner. just more inconsistent bollocks. i am getting sick of it. ferrari gt3 £4.88 will be the last straw!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
This thread's argument amounts to "you're doing it wrong" based on perception. At least four of the vehicles the OP lists as *can* do not have adjustable castor. I suggest doing more research and then after evidence is found, present the argument. I know of no one working with car physics that will disregard sound data.
What sound data? When you will test it load ACC and play a little with caster or take a AC car, change it there. You can edit cars very easy. No GT3 car feels like that my in list what I have marked. And no car in rf2 has a adjustable caster. That is in real GT3 possible and in other titles too. I have buyed 21 cars but I can only use 4. That makes me sad and I want them back and help to improve it, because simracing should be every time nice or authentic to drive. So please, let us work on it.
