I am using the BETA UI. To change the AI strengh I go into difficulty parameters I move the cursor then leave the menu. BUT then when I start a solo race the difficulty is back to where it was at the start. Same problem when I restart the game. The difficulty I've chosen doesn't want to stay and always goes back to the old one (84 percent)
Try this. Got to the main menu and select session settings Then in the setup screen select opponents then select the level of AI strength If you make alterations in the difficulty screen they don't take effect until reboot (this is because effectively you're in the race), also in the difficulty screen you can only adjust the AI aggression which is different to strength. Hope this helps.
@JimmyT that worked thank you very much. The 2 AI difficulty sliders (parameters and session settings) still seem not to be linked despite having the same function... maybe something to update.
