Seeing as our forum is in limp mode at the moment, please feel free to sign up/choose, in this thread, a specific car/skin
combination so we can try to avoid duplicate paint jobs.

So many incredible cars and skins to choose!!

Colin Matyac, you are officially registered.

Our championship rules require that you commit to one car (make and model) for the season except that you may change once before the 5th round. I put you down for the Ferrari 488 but you may pick any car before Round 1.

We have a Teamspeak server. 50/50 for people to be on it if we aren't racing.

Info is in our forum linked at the top.

I came up with a workaround for our malfunctional forum registration.

New drivers can email efnetsimracing@gmail.com with their info to register for our forum:

    1. user name (real name or proper real sounding name)
    2. temporary password (you should be able to change it)
    3. email address (obviously should be automatic but just in case)

I'm not doing good on getting skins done for the race on Sunday, I'll see if I can at least get Pat's done.

Two weeks in a row now, we've had over 50 drivers complete at least one lap on our server with lap times all over the place.

It's impossible to know how many of those read this forum or our forum but I am compelled to help out a little with the setup for these cars, at least what has worked at Barcelona (Rounds 1-2) and should translate to Paul Ricard (Rounds 3-4) to help tighten up the range.

Run as little (angle) rear wing as you can while maintaining control of the car and keeping wheelspin manageable. Too much wing just makes the car slow (top speed and corner to corner) and contributes to understeer that wears out the front tires. Obviously, the wing must be causing aero-push which should be worse at higher speeds but also seems to affect slow speed just enough.

Second is that the tires seem to want low pressures, adjusting pressures based on tire temps across the tire doesn't seem to work, at least not in the way that we are used to doing it. I recommend starting with the default pressures and doing many laps before you change. If you do change, try less pressure first, very small steps, same amount at each tire, especially left and right. It might be possible to adjust pressures based on temps from the longest corner on the track but then be sure to apply the same pressure to left and right side.

Somewhere in the Garage Setup there is a note about ideal air pressures, states a range. If those are hot pressures then maybe but if cold pressures then no way, horrible and slow. With the Porsche, I only am shown cold pressures in the garage. The drivers of other cars report the same. I have not found a display for hot pressures.
