(edit due to my mis-information. Simtek is actually slower, not faster. ren53's post below is correct) It has long been abandoned, The tires are long out of date, the performance levels are several seconds slower per lap than S397 content. The only appeal of this mod is the Lamborghini and Ferrari that are missing from any of the official DLC. Skins are good, models good, but it just doesn't match up pace-wise with the DLC GT3s.
the car is too slow. Too slow on straight and three or four seconds slower than 397's car. The author has been abanded for a long time. So we can't except the update for this mod.
...but they make great AI cannon fodders for S397 cars Also add more cars from the EEC GT3/Ultimate GT3 mods such as the Lexus and Honda NSX
Lexus is front-engined... The non-encrypted ISI Camaro GT3 is front engined... Do some pace-adapting and you'd have an extra GT3 car relatively quickly. Sadly... GT3's doesn't float my boat, but I'll gladly talk an eager GT3-fanatic through proces of converting and ingaming said Lexus... PM me and we can talk.
I use the Ferrari and Lambo in my races with the GT3s from S397, they are not that bad and hold up with the race pace. S397 should make the Lexus, Ferrari, Lambo and the Honda
I have been revisiting each of the cars properties within this mod as a side project. If you're an offline racer like me, you may have noticed that the steering was incredibly poor for the AI. I have resolved this for all cars so they no longer go wide or spin.
There are so many Ferrari and Lambo Fans that would love to integrate all skins painted up for those cars.
It would be great to have the Lambo and Ferrari updated. Is it possible to have the grid position digit on the windows also added or is it to much to ask for?
Yes, update it because anybody will be hard pressed to find any series with GT3s that does not have a Porsche, Merc, Ferrari or Lamborghini It's like the Queen without Freddie Mercury
Thank you very much indeed for your work and for helping out with the BOP and sharing it with people!
It's an interesting one, this. With the release of Valorant, I'll be honest, I am kind of sidetracked... I also have two projects that I am working on in-between. As you know, the primary focus was Simtek, but I have also been working on URD PX. This included BOP adjustments to LMP1 and reintroducing the Toyota (new sounds and a livery) that was not included in the pack. This is now done. Simtek ai parameters and characteristics are all finely tuned now, they perform well and drive consistently in a wide variety of scenarios. I am now including these changes in the BOP for the official gt3 cars but as you can appreciate, when changing one value, it can have an impact on other areas. Ultimately it all needs additional and extensive testing, but I just haven't found the time yet. One thing I will mention though is thanks to Nibo, I now have a means of viewing certain telemetry data live. This is incredibly useful when making changes. Prior to this, the changes would take quite long.
