Hey guys, I hope somebody can help me with my problem.
I followed this guide on to set up my own rf2 server.
    https://docs.studio-397.com/users-guide/setting-up-a-dedicated-server
Everything worked fine until I've tried to launch it. Every time I receive the message 'no mod files or installed mods found. unable to contine. please download and install at least one mod.'
I used this guide to create a RaceEvent.
    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=554544322
The Modmgr is displaying that the location and vehicle I downloaded are in use.
I have a .rfmod for my Event in the packages folder, there is a .mft in the Manifests folder and a .mas in the installed/rfm/ folder. I had a server on my own pc running before, but since my new isp provides ipv6 only, i cannot host anymore.

i would be really grateful about every reply

Do you use the dedicated server that can be started in the launcher or the steam dedicated server?
How did you install the rfmod, directly in the mas 2 tool, when it was packed?

I have used the steam dedicated server. i do only have the rfactor2 dedicated.exe
i opened the mas2 tool from the /support/tools/ folder.

Afterwards I clicked on 'create package', gave it a name, picked the location and the vehicle.

Then i clicked on package -> install -> popup appears -> ok -> done

For me it sounds like a missing "path" issue
Edit: Is a steam dedi in the base dir of the rf2 installation? Or in a subfolder?

Are your mod manager directories the same as mine, except for my Racing folder?

This is how my C: drive looks like.

    @ADSTA
my folders have the same format, except i dont have the racing folder.
    So, C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Installed\; C:\rfactor2-dedicated & C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Packages

Do you use a shortcut to start your dedicated server? Because this error normally comes up when you dont. You should make a shortcut to the dedicated server executable, place it in the main rf2 folder (C:\rfactor2-dedicated\) and add: +path=".." , to the target of the shortcut in its properties. The target path should look like C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64\rFactor2 Dedicated.exe" +path=".."

Yes, i have a shortcut with the +path extension on the desktop. I created another one in the main folder, but the outcome stays the same.
    The target is:
    "C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64\rFactor2 Dedicated.exe" +path=".."

Just to make sure: In the link properties, the "execute in" line points to C:\rfactor2-dedicated\Bin64 ?
Because if you point there allready to C:\rfactor2-dedicated, you do NOT need the +path command!
You also could try to copy the server exe to C:\rfactor2-dedicated and start it directly as exe without link, does this work?

@SLK Sorry for the stupid question, but the track(s) and car(s) that the rfmod uses are installed in the dedicated server install?

Thank you so much! Copying the rFactor2 Dedicated.exe into the rfactor2-dedicated folder fixed the issue for me.

    Yes, they are.
