Is there a race calendar with all upcoming online events added or something similar? Or do you ha e to read through many forum posts to find something?
https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?forums/official-competitions-contests.214/ this is for official events. The calendars for leagues are usually on the league sites themselves. This will probably be improved when a competition system is released
Thanks! It seems too late for the current official events as they state a custom skin is req. prior to Feb 27.... Would be nice with a at least bi-hourly daily races a same times every day that don't require some customizations... Just easier for non-die-hards... Reg. leagues it might be great, but just don't have the time to go that one level deeper in my daily routine.. Also would have to find ones doi g only paid for cars.. Damn...
As I said, a competition system is being worked on, this includes bi-hourly races etc. I hope they get more splits next season for gt challenge, so also non hardcore can drive it
In the days of rFactor1 there were a few sites, most notably rfactorcentral who did that but not without plenty of community created headaches. rFactor has always been focused on providing a platform with exceptional physics and open to community mod development and leaving the race organization to the public. S397 has taken steps to manage some event "sponsorship" but within the limits of what they can reasonably handle without raising cost significantly. Few things are ever free in this world. International Sim Racing is one of a few who maintain on-line servers with a Leaderboard for Lap Times. It's better than nothing, but like all things you get what you pay for, perhaps more that you pay for as its no cost to compete. But don't expect that everyone who sets a lap time is running a clean lap. Some will put 4 wheels off, some even find "holes" in tracks where they can trim a few seconds off their lap times, the proverbial "aliens" who tend to distract from the value of providing a free service like that. No matter though, anytime one chooses to race on-line spontaneously like races on the hour, it should never be taken more seriously than just an online game. That can be great fun, but can also be very disappointing if its perceived to be anything more than just a game where the opponents are not likely to play by a "Gentleman's Rules". Facebook is loaded with posts of folks whining about how they were knocked off the track by someone else. Caveat Emptor.
There are a couple of calendars I am aware of with league races on rF2: - one maintained by russian rF2 discord - https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=0lp1q0r56tvpb5fcitrjha1lio@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/Moscow - one I found while surfing some time ago (don't know who exactly is maintaining it) - https://world-simracing-calendar.jimdofree.com/sims/rfactor-2/
