I'm having problems with mirrors (not virtual ones). I post a picture to explain whats happening. Anybody knows whats wrong and how to fix this? I use fov 27 regards
The mirror texture you map has a L | C | R graphic, you map the L part to the left mirror, C to the centre, R to the right.
How you get these map? i follow the steps of the official tutorial about how to create the mirrors but its not work could you help me? thanks
Look in the skip barber folder, or just create a wide texture and divide it by three, and map it like that. I'm on my phone so I can't link the file, see if anything shows up if you google mirror.bmp.
I think i can help here. The attached zip file contains the mirror.bmp file, resized to the double size. Use that for the mapping and include it into your mod too, because i guess that default mirror.bmp file still has the resolution 1024x64, which results in bad looking mirrors.
thanks, but i dont know but shader i have to use in 3d max, T1? BUMP MAP? i would like a help here too, thanks again
Here is a screenshot from 3dsimed with a mirror material that works. If the mirror is too dark, try ffffff for diffuse and ambient RGB. And the material name MUST be MIRROR!
And i forgot .... to get rid of the "compressed" look in the outer mirrors, stretch their mapping in the height, in 3dsmax.
Now my mirror doesnt appear in the cockpit view but its inside the cockpit instance ofthe .gen. I dont know what happen.
