I download the Mercedes AMG GT3 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar From Race Department. Then put it in the user data >player >settings >Mercedes_AMG_GT3_2017 file like it said, but no new car shows up. What am I doing wrong?
I went looking for that skin, but didn't find it. (I'm not the most diligent of searchers.) Could you provide a link to the car? Thanks.
Can you confirm if it was my skin? If so, in the car list, it will be under the Endurance Series/GTD/Mercedes
Dpainter linked to a car by Doug62. I cannot find it either. Not in your Endurance Series, nor in the Mercedes folder. should the download have been put in this folder instead? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles?\Mercedes_AMG_GT3_2017? NOPE! That did not work either!
I thought it may be this one => https://www.racedepartment.com/down...championship-2017-riley-motorsports-33.18847/
That's the old folder structure I think. If you create a directory for a Merc alt skin from the first car in the list you get: ..Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings\Mercedes_AMG_GT3_2017\MAXERU2C0BAAAC
This is the car. What mod do I need? https://www.racedepartment.com/down...championship-2017-riley-motorsports-33.18847/
If i'm not totally wrong, it should be this one: https://store.steampowered.com/itemstore/365960/detail/4/ or better, buy the pack https://store.steampowered.com/itemstore/365960/detail/1001/
I've got the Mercedes AMG GT3 and I've got all the cars in the GT3 Pack but I don't remember buying it
Can you confirm that? There is the GT3 Packs that are by S397. There is also the GT3 World Series by Simtek that is in the Workshop. Both have the Mercedes. That skin is for the S397 pack. The other thing, is that is an older skins. S397 have changed a lot of things with their GT3 packs. A few updates broke the add on skins. In order to fix that, you will need to change the VEH line in the .RDC to an existing car.
1: It's easy. Open the .rcd file and change the VehFile line to : VehFile = MAXERU2C0BAAAC.VEH save when changed. 2: Go to ..\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings\Mercedes_AMG_GT3_2017 3: Make a folder in that Mercedes_AMG_GT3_2017 folder and name it MAXERU2C0BAAAC 4: Put the IRM3317.rcd and the RileyI1733alt.mas (from the Ben Keating folder) in that new folder. 5: Go to game, pick the first merc, go to tuning page, you may have to click refresh. That worked for me.
