Lol... I'm just praying for AMS2 be something worth calling "a true simulation" About the subject, who cares what SMS do...
It was more "look what SMS is doing" kind of thing. I saw someone talked about it in the AMS2 thread and when i saw that i wondered what will change with PC3, and when i looked it up i saw they would go towards NFS Shift which was kind of a shock, but not a shock - if you know what i mean, lol. Anyway, it was just that they would change their formula which i thought was maybe a little fun thing to know. I didnt buy any of their games.
I hardly played Project Cars but I played it enough to not like it. Not the first time I didn't like a game but it was the first time I ever got "paid" by any developer regardless of what I thought of their product.
I will be happy if Reiza will continue to work with SLM engine. As long as they will, i don't care about future of PCars. But, it is still amazing in vr and i like weather changes in pcars 2.Also, i like Monaco in pcars2 more.
So far rF2 and RRE 2 are very good Sims that complement each other very well. Hopefully, AMS2 will do what most of us expect from S397 and S3 and will not get (unfortunately it will be difficult). At least a stable sim without large construction sites. A working AI, working weather change, working Pay Contend (GT3), and a fair price management (Monaco / Monaco E_Prix, although I finally bought it, I was weak). Let's wait .
One good thing about PC3 is no mention of GT3 cars. Please something different. Besides, rF2 already has the best feeling GT3 and if you're an AC kind of a guy there's ACC.
You haven't understood my point. I'm saying there is no such thing as a "true simulation". How is a "true simulation" defined? I googled it and came up with nothing. Really there are only simulations you like, simulations you have no strong feelings about and simulations you don't like. Reiza are clear that the Madness physics engine is better than their current physics engine and as a result the cars will feel different to drive. AMS2 will be a better simulation than AMS1. However you may prefer the way the old game feels/drives. It may even be you don't like how the new game feels/drives. But that doesn't make it not a "true sim" - just a sim you don't like.
There are things you can't google, you feel them and i thought i was talking with grown people that know that not allways google has answers! When it comes to simulations you know when a car is being realisticaly simulated or not! That way Gran Turismo might be called a "sim" but NEVER a "true sim(ulation)". Also your argument is not valid, i can say for example that rF2 is better than pCars, but following your logic i just don't like pCars correct? WRONG!
And if the madness physics engine is better than the AMS1 we're yet to see, depends on what Reiza will do with it...
The more I think about PC3 going for more fun of a driving sim the more I'm thinking they're on the right track. We have at least 4 respected sims shooting for the most realistic racing simulator now and do we really need another one? (More polished, yes) Just as long as they don't dumb down the physics, I think it would be kind of fun to just piss drive a car in some kind of video game scenario. But the physics have to be a little better than PC2. Although, this new FFB mod helps a lot. I'll have to look it up.
