A little tip for Circuit d´Azur ̶M̶o̶n̶a̶c̶o̶, install again rFactor, select Lienz Festival (put the track at midnight) and see the lights in the buildings in the city. That can be a cool detail in this track. ;)

Did you select a favourite so it doesn't do it? I believe that's the workaround for now.

Wouldnt know how to do that as I have never played online in my life, I am proudly an offline racer only.

My internet used to be 10mb download now that I have the NBN it is meant to peak at 50 but I usually get 40, not sure how that compares to everyone else?

Ha, I can only dream of 10. At the moment I get about 650 kilobytes a second :(
When the NBN comes (haha) in January (supposedly) I should be on the 50 plan

I honestly doubt I would still be sim racing if a friend hadn't talked me into racing rF1 online. Ironically, I introduced him to sim racing with rF1.
I think the only good part with offline is racing what, where and when you want.
That may sound hard to beat but you don't get the same thrill or intensity you get racing AI compared to humans.
Plus the AI never speak on voice chat, rude I think. ;)

It might be worth it for now.

Not sure why you're proud about that (people can do what they want, I don't see honour in either option) but ok.

I too race offline, but I at least tried the suggested help when I read it to improve the screen refresh. Crimeny, click on multiplayer, then click on the MORE icon, click on a server, choose favorite. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN, or, wait for S397 to fix it.

I have been doing it offline since I got F1 on the PlayStation back in 1996 or 1997 and have not grown bored with it yet.

Proud because there seems to be a lot of pressure to race online and that is what Sim racing is becoming more geared towards. I am proud to be old school.

Many genres are heading online and single player is less supported, I hear you there. Still don't see any reason for pride one way or the other, each to their own.

More like 16 years if you mean F1C99-02...This was mindblowingly fantastic. But especially this game also was pretty awesome with AI.^^

I spent two hours on the Hawaii beta for iRacing. (all I could afford on pay by the minute telephone line) We had great online racing with Papyrus products starting with ....Nascar 3? Of course we ran visually modded sportscars on roadcourses. Google up the Bullrun 1000 sometime.
