The projects I was working with in 3ds Max 2017 are crashing Max when I trying to open them. I stepped away and put them aside over the summer. Now, they will not load. I have not changed anything. Max launches and I can even start a new project, but if I try to open a current track build, I get "An error has occurred and the application will now close. No scene changes have occurred since your last save." I have tried creating a new project and merging. Even tried merging only certain objects (or only geometry, shapes, groups/assemblies). No luck. I would hate to lose all of this work. Any ideas? Thank you!
I've had the same problem with 3dsmax 2012 a while ago and could solve it with using the latest plugins. Go to the folder ..\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Support\Tools\Plugins\Max 2017\x64_beta copy the 3 files and replace the ones that you currently use in 3dsmax 2017
Hi guys. Same problem here, i mean random problems. Max 2017 reinstalled and files on folders as usual. Sometimes when i try to open files, CTD. Sometimes i can load track and when i click a mesh, CTD. Sometimes i can load a track, clicking a mesh, load material and CTD when clicking gmat slot. Sometimes i can do everything and CTD on save. Sometimes a windows pop up that error, Max will close and try to save... I have tried Max 2012 and does not work at all. Any suggestions, please?
Yes. Max updated and latest plugins from my rfactor 2 folder. Sometimes everything works perfect, the problem is that unstable and annoying behaviour.
