wanted to buy the 2070 super, but I will endure a minimum until the next generation of graphics cards, as the oculus are very smooth, I will wait ... I have an i5 8600k gtx 1070 8G of Ram, so far it goes very well

Can be very good news for VR (compatible with the screen).

In nvidia control panel with the latest driver.

I quickly tested with the value "100", and it seems good, even very good (Rift S supersampling 150%).

Do you like you oculus S? Is it much better than the CV1?

1 / In image quality, the CV1 is very inferior to the Rift S.

2 / The two major flaws of the Rift S are :
    - IPD not adjustable.
Problematic for large or small IPD.
    - The quality of sound.
On the other hand, you only have to buy top-of-the-range in-ear earphones like the Sennheiser in-ear (69 euros) to have a very good sound.

3 / I find that the sharpness and the FOV is insufficient compared to helmets much more expensive.
    BUT........

4 / It takes a computer already excessively powerful for the Rift S......

for the higher-end VR helmet, it is useless to have a GPU less than a 2080 Ti (1300 euros !!!!:eek::eek:) associated with a very good PC.

I regret buying the Rift S, I would have preferred to put 300 euros more and have a better helmet.
And wait for a better PC.

I had the 2080ti already but Sadly reverb and Index can’t be shipped to my country. I can order the Index from Amazon but that would cost me 1700$ with shipping and fees and no way I will spend all that money only for headsets that will give you only a slightly better FOV.
So for me the Oculus S is the best option available.
For the Audio I already ordered this
    It fits the Oculus S.

    I finally bought the Index.
But i only bought the headset and one station.
I only use for rF2, then don't need another base and the controllers.
This is a way to reduce a lot the price.
I'm very happy with them but you need a 2080TI in rF2
I think it's not possible to get the most of it with the current graphic cards.
It's a headset for several years

If they say you need a lot of graphics and PC, I'm still waiting for Pimax but I will take advantage of the CV1

Where do you put the 100 value?

    On, sharpen = 1.0 (100), ignore grain = standard value (i think it's 0.17).

I also play with the idea of getting an Index.
Is the solution so good that you recognize the vehicles from a distance? And is the cockpit completely sharp and recognizable?
With my PC and the Index are the 130 degrees FOV hopefully well feasible with at least 160 SS.
I'm afraid my PC will be down again.
The limit has already been reached with the CV1 at 180SS.

And do you notice the bigger FOV compared to the CV1? Or is the difference barely noticeable?

The Pimax should not be good on the quality. Anyway, I read that more often. And the 200 degrees FOV creates no computer at the moment .. unfortunately

The sharpeness at long distance is better than with the Rift and the cockpit is highly sharp. Completly? It's very subjective. What is good for me can be bad for you. The quality is better in a screen, then it's not completly sharp. And the reality is sharper than any screen...
I don't notice any difference between the FOV of the Rift and the Index. You'll have the best FOV with the Pimax.
    With rF2 i can't use the 144Hz (I7-7700 ant 2080TI).
Some friends say that with 144Hz the difference in smoothness is verry big. It's in other sims, because they neither can use 144Hz in rF2 with 8700K and 2080TI.
I'm using 90Hz and 100SS-130SS, depending on the circuit and i'm happy.
Is there a big difference between the Rift and the Index in these conditions? No.
But it's almost impossible to get the most of the Index with the current computers in rF2.

I continue at work and i'll finish too late today.
I think that can't use the sim until sunday night.

Take a look at the thread that i linked before.
The Iron Wolf said very interesting things about Pimax.
I know a few people that are very happy with the Pimax 4K and 5K.
