Can you please make the UI so it only uses the upper part of the screen. I hate to have to look over/under my steering wheel when using the menus. Just to clarify, the game should use the full screen when driving.
Sorry, what does that say behind your wheel? Good thinking, though for space use and clarity there might be better options than squashing everything into 3/4 of the screen space. So I wouldn't personally vote yes for that idea, but a workable solution would be great. @ADSTA UI mate. Not HUD
Are you referring to UI or HUD, because these are totally different things. I understand that the OP is speaking about the info showed when you are NOT driving UI: Info showed when you are not driving. HUD: Info showed when you are driving.
Can't say I've ever had this issue in 6 years. My screen is normally positioned so that the track position line at the bottom of the screen is under the steering wheel's LCD. There's nothing else under there, unless you have the distracting tach/delta/sector (button 5, I believe) showing somehow.
"Can you please make the UI". Definitely asking the devs. I've found myself changing my (body) position to see around the wheel, can't remember if it was changing setup or just finding a vote button or something. That was before I changed wheels, the F1 rim obviously removes this issue. Interesting topic I thought, though.
Yes, I do want the devs to do this. At the same time I was wondering what all of you thought about this.
Well, Like most things in the wishlist, you can ask. But the new UI is probably as changed as they are going to do for the time being. Lets see how well it works and how the layout is before asking for more changes. If you are asking them to change the current UI, well you are late to the party. They have been working on a New UI for 3 years and next month they should be releasing the beta version of it. Preferably the UI elements would be able to be positioned anywhere on the screen, but I suspect that will not be the case for the menus.
Yes, in game there are usually no problems. The problem occurs when using the menus. Quite often the most used buttons are at the bottom of the screen. I'm talking about all racing simulators now. Not just this one. This one (currect UI) is pretty good actually. And yes I'm late. It's hard to complain about a UI before you see it.
It's HTML, customising it will be easier than now, a version with everything on top will probably appear a day or two after release lol
