I might have said this before but will say it again "this is a bloody great little tool" Thanks again @Seven Smiles
Bugfix update V0.6.54 doesn't crash if any of the characters ¡¢£¤¥¦§¨©ª«¬®¯°±²³´µ¶·¸¹º»¼½¾¿ÀÁÂÃÄÅÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖ×ØÙÚÛÜÝÞßàáâãäåæçèéêëìíîïðñòóôõö÷øùúûüýþ are in the driver name.
Hi Seven Smiles, thanks for the useful tool. Is it a problem joining a server using headlight control? I am asking because i joined our league serve trying headlight control but my times were not logged. I was able to drive and headlight control worked well but in LiveRacers my session was not logged. It was as i wasnt on ther server. Do you know what i mean?
I noticed at Petite Le Mans, the Mazdas had 3 lights horizontally on each side. ... < >... In the pits the lights flashed sequentially from the outside in. So Mr. Wizard... . < > . . < > . .< >. I know that formatting will never survive...
@ciprox Sorry, I’ve only just seen your post. No, I can’t see how my program would cause that, it just reads the shared memory and sends key presses.
@davehenrie use Code: [code ] to preserve formatting Nothing I can do for you, rFactor only has Headlights on / Headlights off (and even that is just a toggle).
Hi, I'm trying to get this working in the control panel it says flashing but I cant see anything I've installed the latest version of simhub, and the latest version of the shared memory plugin but nothing. So I need help. Thanks in advance. Claude
it works by itself, try NOT using simhub first. Then, if you figure it out, try adding simhub back in. Start the lights program before launching rf2. Then, to make it easier to see if the lights are flashing, set the practice start time to something after 10pm. I've noticed at a few tracks, in daytime, the lights don't illuminate brightly enough to easily see from the cockpit. You can also verify by using the page down key for the exterior view and then either the numberpad 4 or numberpad 6 to rotate around to the front. Finally, if you have your message center enabled, where it tells you in text that you pit crew is ready, or you have a penalty, in that box, you should see it toggling between "headlights on" then "headlights off," over and over til you exit the pit lane.
Do you have rFactor mapped to the same control key that this program is using? (DIK_H is the internal code for the H key, I must tidy up the way it is displayed) Also rFactor must be the program that has focus (though the status display will show if it hasn’t). I’ve just realised (rather late!) that a lot of people won’t have dual monitors like I have so I need to check how the status display works on a single monitor.
It's in the main driving controls. I'll look into reading Player.json and displaying what it's set to. I tried on a single monitor and it works OK except of course when I Alt-Tab to see the status it reports that rFactor is paused ("Escape pressed").
Important change is that you can set the on and off times separately. (This simple change has meant days of work as it unearthed some very unpleasant real-time software nasties!) Minor change is reading Controller.json to display the key rFactor is using to control the headlights.
Hi Seven Smiles, first of all thanks for this greate tool. I have a question with your last update (V0.7.59) I get an error: Failed to execute script rF2headlights. I think the error is because I have installed rFactor/Steam not in C. Is this the reason? Attached my rpt.txt
