Is there a fix to the pivoting trees, it is particularly evident driving in VR at Imola, but it is on all tracks, as you drive by them, the trees are pivoting as if they were following/looking at you.
Yes thats standard trees technology in rF2. Often doesn't work well when close to the fences and bariers.
Funny, in which parallel dimension? I am surprised their is no cure, it is a major glitch for a sim that has been released so long ago. That and the missing animations in cars, makes it look dated. To me those two issues are much more annoying than the UI, I am surprised it is not more discussed within RF2 community. Was it like that in RF1?
lol, if you go deep here in the forum or Discord and listen to what (some) people say such things as you mention doesn't matter to them. It can look like a text adventure if the physics are top notch. Doesn't matter what it looks like the feel is what's important. But if you mention some physic flaws of rF2 they start to attack all the other sims
@Cote Dazur it's not a glitch, when playing on a screen it's barely noticeable even with close trees and it allows better performance (2d trees) without ever seeing them from side-on. Obviously with VR it doesn't look great with closer trees, would still be useful for more distant ones so the illusion isn't broken. Presumably now that VR is growing the pivoting trees will be placed more carefully.
When playing on a monitor it's not even noticeable and seems to work quite well when used on the "better trees" but in VR I could not race around Adelaide in open wheelers! The trees that stuck out over the track where... Let's say very obviously spinning on a pivot. It seems they weren't designed to be used with VR.
