I don't understand how to use the alpha region when i need six regions. the user guide says: "If you have 6 regions, you need to copy the Alpha region in the PSD Alpha Channel", but i don't understood how effectively do it
I think (i tried only a couple of times, and it worked) you simply have to create your mask as usual in the alpha region layer as it is the red, black, blue or green one, then just replace the alpha channel of the file with it. Of course you have then to export the region.dds as a dtx5 dds, and not as a dxt1 as usual.
An example: A standard skin, followed by its alpha channel, the one we don't have to touch in the template And this is the region file followed by its alpha channel The alpha channel of the region.dds is assigned to the blue paint of the livery (but also to some stickers, is a bit messed up, i received this skin from some members of my league), hope it helps anyway.
