Hi Guys!! =) My first post, i think it is right here. Hope you are fine and i got a little question. Many channels in Motec with the DLC - McLaren Senna GTR do not record. For example.. Aero-- Front DownForce, Rear Downforce, Front Wing Height and many more. I use the Damplugin 2.00. I already checked Damplugin.ini in the folder. Other cars (non DLC cars) and cars for free work just fine, ONLY the McLaren Senna GTR do not send the Telemetry of thease useful channels. Do someone got the same problem? Is there a solution? Hope someone can help me! Thanks for your time! Have a nice Friday. ;-) PS: I add a picture for example. Senna left and the Corvette C6R right.
Some motec channels (specifically the ones you mention above...probably some others too) are blocked in the newest content (GT3 packs, Endurance pack, etc) so we do not have access to those.
I believe they are blocked at the request of the manufacturers who may not want information like that so easily obtained by rivals. Some of those channels were actually open when the first DLC packages were released. At some point they were closed off, we surmise at the request of the factories.
=/ thats so sad! But i can unterstand why. I got a lot of fun to play with this numbers. Maybe someone find sometime a backdoor or is there already one? But the Front Wing Height would be great. Thanks for your help.
@Will Mazeo you don't believe it? Try talking to Marcel. (We don't need to theorise - go straight to the source) @Mordorsport Max as much as it's annoying when you're used to having access to it, I think it's important to respect the wishes of those allowing licensed content. Finding and publicising workarounds only jeopardises the game. You can probably find ways to roughly evaluate current behaviour, though it will take more testing and won't be as exact obviously.
As Lazza says it's been stated by the Devs themselves Kalinin, if you find that hard to believe then I highly recommend you start a private chat with Marcel so he can explain it to you piece by piece. It's blatantly obvious why the licensee would want parts of the data hidden, quite why you disbelieve it is bewildering quite frankly
Wanna bet that if/when these physics get remade they'll be open again? You are free to believe whatever you want, and so am I You seem to like this emoji lol
Im making my real car to rFactor2,i got all the data and measures done,i bet you go say is not real too isnt? What make you think that Senna doesnt have real data?Have you drived one?
I havent, have you? Same argument can be used both sides. If you go up you'll see I haven't said anything about a car being realistic or not so pls, give me a break fanb. Now if you want to talk spefically about the Senna you should read the article about its release personally I have no problem with what they did even if I'd rather have an actual representation of the car (DRS included) and based on the car being more on the fantasy side hidding the data makes even less sense
