Do not worry. Marcel and Christopher have confirmed a BoP update for the GT3. Both at the Expo and about 3 weeks ago via Discord. Let's hope that until the weekend the Cup Porsche is fully operational. The perfect vehicle to demand everything from yourself !
When we have access to raw mod data, I use to fix the weird AI behaviour by changing the HDV file: Code: AIAimSpeedsPerWP=(30.0, 54.0, 68.0, 82.0, 100.0, 120.0, 150.0, 185.0) // Speeds at which to look ahead X waypoints (spaced roughly 5 meters apart) Just replacing this numbers by other car when AI behaviors OK the problem used to be solved. As for the track, the AIDraftStickness variable (AIW file) used to cure the "AI is lazy to overtaken when close to the in front car" effect. Now we cannot access any official content anymore (encrypted) so we're 100% dependent of S397 fixes which can take a long time as you know.
Among other things, the dashboard and other problems will be fixed with. I assume that this problem is also fixed with. I hope it does not take too long ...
Thanks very much for this. As part of the recheck, get the testers to load a field of cup and gt3 Porsche’s and see if they can spot the difference. I’m not trying to be sarcastic here, it truly seems that the AI get GT3 levels of grip, stability and brakes.
Gear ratio will not come or be available. As far as I understand it for license Technical reasons? I do not want to say anything wrong here ..
I've had a hard time keeping up with the AI as well. I feel a little better that others are too. I thought I just sucked with the cup car (i probably do). Think I had AI at 104% and they were lapping nurb GP in 1:58s, which is basically my gt3 race pace lap time.
At what percentage does the Porsche Cup drive realistically times? 95%? Or is this different from course to course? Tonight I want to try it again ..
SO after taking some advice setup on the car, I had a great race yesterday with AI@100%. Q7, P1. I take back my comment about the AI being too difficult. The default set-up is just not great, especially for Nurburing GP. I wonder if the same is true for Norma, as that is another car I love to drive but have difficulty keeping pace with the AI@100.
That’s a good question. I for one would like 100% to be trying to mirror real life performance with similar lap times, even if sim lap times do not always translate the same way. It would have a relevant meaning then as well, and you could better understand where you stand with your performance. I guess people like the idea of being competitive with a higher number (eg 110%) tough...
That has been one of my issues with car reviews. If the car is too fast at 110%, then turn down the percentage. (even if you regularly compete at 110%. Match the car's percentage to your pace, rather than asking for a car to be sped up or slowed down.) ((and as soon as I write this, somebody will come on and say 120% is still too slow.....I know.....I know....))
My Q was a 2:03 & best LT a 2:01/2 ? What I read (& did); increase the rear wing by 1 or 2 notches, brought the tire pressures down to 130 but read somewhere on RD to bring them right down to 110 but I didn't go that low (I think that guy/gal stated they got a 1:59). I decreased the camber to around -4.8 front -4.2 rear, & increased the braking pressure up to 95%. The car felt challenging but stable. 8 lap race and only got 1st on the penultimate lap and had to keep it strong for the whole of the last lap to take P1.
