It has been a number of years since I have delved into modding. I have offered to do an .aiw file but I am having major issues. I don't get any waypoints showing for the left, right and fast paths. Also dev crashes on exit and won't write the garage positions to file. I thought it might be the track so I removed all my mod tracks but it still crashes on exit with Joesville. I then deleted the Mod Dev folder and validated the game files. After downloading a fresh copy things are still the same. Wondering if things have changed and I'm doing things wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
It only shows the main path waypoints, the left, right, and fast just show a line, which is enabled in the paths section.
For me, devmod is just completely bugged. Sometimes it crashes before loading the track, sometimes during loading, sometimes in the sim. It crashes 95% of the time for me, so I'd say that there's nothing we can do about it, and probably nothing S397 will do.
I hoped it was something like that. I have the line no probs just I thought I remembered waypoints from years ago. Still have the issue of always crashing on exit. It seems to switch between BEX64 and APPCRASH. I have turned off DEP for now as that can cause BEX64 but still the same.
I have 1182 hours of rFactor 2 usage in Steam,99,9% of thoses hours is in devmod, all ctd i haved is my own fault,so,no,is not the sim himself.
Like I stated though, I deleted devmod and validated my game files which downloaded a new copy. (over 500mb and nearly 1100 files )Just with the default Joesville it still crashes on exit.
I never have problems with DevMode, but now that you comment on Joesville, it depends on the car I use, for example if I use Skippy all ok. But if I try with other cars in development, with some breaks and with others not.
Good for you ! You being lucky doesn't mean others don't have problems. I even know someone who couldn't use anymore devmod and needed to use the cracked version, that worked better than the legit game.
The software is the same for all,so yes, thoses issues is at the end user,i have rFactor2 installed in 2 diferents pcs,one in my room, and other in my work for customers have fun when i work in their cars,no issues at all, only the wheel i have in the work give me some issues,DFP,but not related to the sim.
I am aware that the issue will be at my end, I was just hoping someone could point me to the problem, not start arguments.
im sry for my part. The only thing that occurs to me is with which track it happens, I can try to check. Joesville with Skippy, ok. Radikal, ok.
It is happening with both Joesville and mod tracks. I have deleted ModDev folder and validated. After it installed the new one I tried with just Joesville and it is still doing the same. Mostly been BEX64 error with a few APPCRASH. Tried every fix Google turned up to no avail. Main game is working fine. Tried Deleting and validating Re-installed all redistributables Turned off all replays Tried fullscreen, windowed and borderless Cleaned out the registry etc. Temporarily turned off DEP Tried clean boot
