SOLVED Reported crashing with new build

I have the same issue, I cannot load any version newer than v1109 (dx9). If I load v1110, v1111 or v1112, it crashes straight after hitting 'Single Player' and returns to the launcher. Trace does not output a log file.

Flat tires. How would you know?

The damage file does reference tyre cut due to impact (dull and sharp). Whether or how it is implemented, not sure.

    Track Simulation

Put it this way, if a Formula 1 team like Ferrari with their vast amount of experience and resource cannot correlate their aerodynamic models with their wind tunnel and real on-track car performance, what hope do any lesser organisations have. I think the suggestion that any of the...

    Track Simulation

Most publicly available simulation software is still a fair way away from being super accurate. Even commercial stuff still has a long way to go. Software models are very limited by an array of various things such as PC power, physics understanding, number of people a company can employ to...

Wich S397/ISI cars have REAL AND ACCURATE data VS real car in real life

Yes. It's not a matter of plugging in real data and it produces realistic results, unfortunately. One must understand how the data is used and the limitations of the models. Try it for yourself. Place in as much accurate real data as you can and see how the car drives.

Wich S397/ISI cars have REAL AND ACCURATE data VS real car in real life

I would say there is no guarantee that greater model complexity and increased real data accuracy will produce a more accurate representation of reality. I would say the bigger factor would be the people generating the models, their understanding of real world physics and the techniques and...

    Next Gen Simulation

I wrote this in another thread but it directly answers your questions:

    Next Gen Simulation

Not quite what I meant. I am definitely not speaking about a company specifically, whether it be s397 or whoever, but just in general terms of public software. By talent I mean a team of teams who are Subject Matter Experts (SME). In such a complicated and complex subject as motor vehicles...

    Next Gen Simulation

The limitation to gaming is the talent of the people who are building physics models. I doubt the most talented people in this field are working on public software.

Wich S397/ISI cars have REAL AND ACCURATE data VS real car in real life

It's a bit of a moot point. The only valid question to ask is "How accurate are the models which interpret the data to simulate reality?" You can have the most accurate data available but if your physics models are poor, it will result in poor physics. To put things into perspective, science...

    Realistic % of Damage

If the component damage isn't relatively modelled correctly the overall damage multiplier could be very unrealistic. For example, you may find that at 100% damage the nosecone never breaks off in a frontal impact yet the suspension gets bent at the slightest nudge with the wall. I find many...
