Hopefully you've sorted this out by now, but for the sake of any others who find this....
You can use the Steam VR overlay and click the reset position there. I think you can map a button by editing an ini/txt file somewhere, but I don't think it's reliable yet.
The rF2 VR Discord might help...
Some thoughts on a few of the earlier points:
Cable connection might have slightly lower latency than wireless. But the latency of, say, 50ms is typically only about 5ms network latency. It is mostly encoding/decoding.
The wired setup is only really about reliability as far as I know. My router...
There has been a lot of discussion on something like this from another Aero user in the rF2 Discord (https://discord.com/invite/rfactor2) VR channel. I would suggest you try there. I don't think it has been solved, but at least you can eliminate some things.
I don't think so. Unless you run via SteamVR.
Which HUD are you using? You know you can download different ones, right? There are a bunch in the workshop.
One thought I've had when looking at my progress in online races is that we can't see results from other splits. It would be nice to be able to review my results in split 2, say, then see what the other split results looked like to compare best lap times and so on.
It would be even better if we...
I have attached the file here. In the set that gmolargey provides (you can ask him in Discord) he also includes 2.0 and higher sets. But they give barely noticeable improvements for less performance, so I don't use them.
Personally I disagree with you on those three points. Well okay, number 1 I understand. They are clearly still working some of those details out. It would certainly be nice to have be reassured that you haven't lost DR when you are just a place or two off the prediction. I assume that isn't what...
Well I think that is very exciting. BTCC at Donington and Class 1 at Laguna Seca are two of my favourite combinations in sim racing. Great stuff.
I even managed to lead a race at Laguna, albeit in split 2. Unfortunately my wheel disconnected (my dodgy soldering gave up) so it was not to be, but...
Hurrah! I'm glad you are pleased with it. If you print a face gasket you can use Pico 4 pads/cushions, which are probably more widely available than Pico 3.
Get yourself on the Pico discord here: https://discord.gg/dcuZkVCB then look under General / General Chat / Awesome tips and mods (look...
I have both and the short answer is: they are pretty much equal.
Had the Pico 4 first. Played it wirelessly and was really surprised by how much better the visuals were than the Quest 2 that I had previously. You do need at least a 3080/4070 or equivalent to run it at Godlike in Visual Desktop...
Before you click 'join race' look up a bit. You can click on the 'participants' word and it will tell you what split you are in. The higher your driver rating, the higher the split you will (or should) be in. It's a way of keeping the races reasonably close rather than mixing slower drivers with...
I must say I really like the way this system is set up.The timings work well for me, i.e. relatively short practice/quali/race, and by not overlapping the races the community is focussed on one event at a time. The rating system works nicely and I like that it focusses on safety rating rather...
That's rather odd.
Pancake mode is monitor mode, so you've tried that.
Have you tried verifying the game files? I have been surprised to find that works, in the past.
The only other thing I can think of is to try uninstalling the widget and seeing if things go back to normal.
The widget...
Certainly not normal. Does it simply not launch when you click Play? I'm a Pico user, so launch via Virtual Desktop, but I do have the widget and have no issues.
I don't think the widget should intefere, as it is a standalone launcher. Shouldn't mess with the base game.
How are you trying to...
