rFactor2 development is much slower than I had hoped for. It's just sth. you have to accept. Moaning and critizing does not help, had to learn this myself. Now that I have lowered my expectations for improvements ISI really manages to impress me. Actually the gap to Assetto Corsa regarding...
I was never satisfied with content initially released (like Mills Metro Park) and did not pay much attention to the recent rFactor2-updates. You have to admit Autodromo di Mores shows some great improvement of graphics, those textures look life-like. Very impressive!
I see it this way: This BES-mod for rFactor2 is a conversion from commercial games. So everything apart from the physics - which appear to be a rushed job for now - does not deserve special praise. Moreover, ISI does not want these type of mods to be covered on their forums. Everybody who is...
Blancpain Endurance Series Mod:
for GTR2
for rFactor
FIA GT3 for Race07
My thoughts were that there is no need to post proof because it's quite obvious for everybody familiar with rFactor-mods. You are involved in the making of this mod and don't know about this? Oh come on...
PetraGTC must have very close ties with Turn10/microsoft and/or EA to get permission for a conversion of these cars to rFactor2 because the 3d models are either from Shift2 or Forza4.
So you are not too sure about crap and go on producing it by making a screenshot and shrinking it to 1024x576 pixels. Awesome job! You can make almost any game look good this way.
GP Legends:
You are absolutely right!
Nice, but still not convincing, also there is no lightning.
Added some lighting, tweaked it slightly in Photoshop and bazinga!

Exactly, you nailed it 100%. Usability is good except for sometimes buttons with different purpose are placed at the same location. Talked to other simracers about this and they all had left an online session once or more often unintentionally because of that. What makes the rfactor(2) UI good...
The best thing about Assetto Corsa's UI is that everybody familiar with modern web design can alter it easily. ISI's approach is as old as the hills compared to that
Not - going - to - happen.
I like Madcowie's stuff, especially dirt/offroad-racing regarded. But skiing? Honestly, rubbish. Car Ice Hockey? Doesn't work properly because the physics for the puck are wrong if you model it as a car, and if you model it as an obstacle its movement won't be calculated correctly. So again...
I cannot see any exaggeration. The current build causes huge laggs when someone leaves the server. Just recently I was very lucky during a race, all the disconnects happened on a straight. About 20 laps into the race and the inevitable happened: After the lag my car was demolished and...
Yes, and as soon as you do so there will be the usual "you are whining"-accusations. I was an avid-rFactor-racer, loved the diversity of content available and especially endurance-racing with driver changes and all that. I'm sure someone who just wants to have a good time racing the K.I. while...
With the basis you are working on continuously changing this is not going to happen. Why would you release a mod (call it work in progress or whatever), then ISI decides to change e.g. physics/coloration/reflection in the next build and you have to adjust all the paintings/physics to the new...
It's a good sim to some extent but then again you can't make proper use of it. League Racing doesn't make much sense if the sim you are using is neither running stable (lags, other online problems) or feature-complete. And then again it's 2013 and no matter how ISI or the modders try to tweak...
