According to these guys sims should use these graphics as well. I gotta admit it would solve every performance problem
I was picturing Grand Prix Circuit on the Amiga, but same idea The atmosphere of the track is about so much more than the tarmac, even if some of that tarmac itself is iconic.
Now all we need is a "still better graphics than rf2" comment. You guys laugh all you want but my fav track (in all sims) is sonoma raceway in AC which has a big ballon in the air, i have mod it with backfire animated flames looking upwards new colors and sponsors, and i stare at it whenever it pops up in my screen. Or just stop and look up to watch it, fvck apexes and curbs you see that all the time... how often do you see large hot air ballons in the sky, you need to be more appreciative dudes.
Well I see them pretty much daily - not even joking. There's a hot air balloon club or some shit a few km away so I see those suckers flying by on a regular basis. Apexes however...
shouldn't be too much of a problem for you, might be for the folks on the ground pointing straight up.
Donnington Park is so unrealistic in RF2. It's literally next to an airport and no air traffic. What gives?!
If you can't accidentally switch to the wrong radio frequency and then get Airforceproud95 in your ears, it's not realistic
Yeah seems cool... until u realize there's no brakes, no apexes to hit and the trees look like shit from that high up
Trees look like shit from above you say, thats a serious accusation mate i wonder what the developer has to say. Idk can you find god on discord?
Maybe being closer to the clouds you'll be distracted by the fluffiness of their less shitier pixels.
As from someone who made a thread about importance of replays/external camera views, I would expect understanding that visual appearance of models is very much the most significant in there.
@mantasisg the most important are the cameras and the sense of realism on cars movement, the graphics are good enough already... That race on the ADAC Simexpo of the Porsche cup was something terrible...
I disagree that graphics are good enough. Personally I am ok with them too, but can't lie, I always think how they could be better. If the movement of the cars doesn't look real enough it may also suggest that something with physics might not be totally fine, or at least how they are represented visually of course, which I guess is very likely. And I agree that the race in Simexpo was terrible. That was exactly my first impression too. How cars looked unnaturally bouncy from exterior. A lot of incidents by drivers. And I wasn't happy by various particular model, textures, shaders... graphics stuff. Mostly because expectations were higher.
I'm just happy if I see the game graphics 100% of the time in the first place. Even in single player I get that black screen freeze atm.
I'm just joking around. Don't take me too seriously. I do realize everyone has got their own thing - your's are trees apparently and I do wish it be fixed, I just don't think it's a priority. But I might be wrong. It's all cool
I just realised that the P1 Gaming 24 hours of the Nordschleife in November will be able to be run on the new track- exciting!
