EDIT Honestly it's too technical for me to explain the problem in detail (my English is limited). We talked about it on a French forum. 1/ This would seem to be related to contact between the car and the ground : - Slowing down in the sandbox - Contact of the body with the ground when the suspensions are compressed - Slowing down of the car when 'We turn the wheels completely 2/ The contacts between the car and the various elements of the decoration (panel, barrier, rail, wall etc ....) 3/ But also apparently the sparks. I do not know any more sorry. At S397 to see if my thread is relevant or not. I believe that these lines have a link : [FEEDBACK] Dry=RoadDryGrip Wet=RoadWetGrip Resistance=0.0 BumpAmp=0.001 BumpWavelen=RoadBumpLen Legal=true Spring=0.0 Damper=0.0 CollFrict=0.4 Sparks=1 Scraping=1 Sound=dry

Sand trap slowdown was removed by ISI. It may be possible to define a terrain type that will work, as we used to do in rF1, but the few attempts I'm aware of all failed. I believe cars scraping on ground or wall have friction. Sparks have been on the wishlist since day 1. No idea why ISI initially removed them.
Sparks definitely aren't in rF2, and I'm with you there. Bottoming out, the bottom of the car body rubbing against the road, is there. (But no sparks from it, of course). It even makes a sound. There is friction here too, defined in the vehicle hdv as a base. Body collision with walls etc should be governed by that collfrict parameter (for friction). Don't know if it's active but easy to test (set it to 10000 and see what happens!). Resistance is a static resistance used for sand etc, easy to overdo it in conjunction with underbody friction in bumpy sand but last time I checked it also worked. Easy to test, again. PS if you aren't sure of what word you mean, it's much better to use many words to describe it than to use a single word (capitals, bold, underline) because that gives us no clue.
and sometimes poorly located, the GTR2 sparks from the rF1 engine often appeared a few feet in front of the car before trailing back into the distance.
Pretty sure all of this is there except for the sparks Sand trap thing is difficult to set correctly without a tow feature (I think it exists anyway, at least works in pit lane if u run out of fuel, or there is a line for that in the car hdv if I'm not mistaken), but u can make it sticky as glue, all depents on track afaik
