Hi, As the Cup Porsche was announced at the Simracing Expo as the 3. car of what was announced few weeks ago. RFactor 2 is missing a recent frontwheel drive car. TCR would be great as it's growing worldwide and would be great for a multiclass VLN simulation. Or maybe a FWD Cup car if TCR is not possible. Claude
Renault Clios with front-wheel drive, I don't like front-wheel drive, they are clearly lower categories
True. But because of their specificities, they are very interesting to drive. Personally, just like the road cars, I ask only one reference car, made with great care by S397 (latest tire model, flex chassis, real datas, partnership with the manufacturer etc). I think that Civic and Clio physics are too old. I understand that FWDs and road cars attract less than other cars on rF2, but just one reference car of each would be fantastic, IMO.
There's a BTCC mod in the works by StrawmanAndy that has the FWD cars already in (Ford Focus, Mercedes A Class, Subaru Levora and Vauxhall (Opel) Astra I believe) as well as the Super Touring Mod that has the 1998 Renault Laguna, Volvo S60 and Vauxhall (Opel) Vectra. That's the closest we have currently. I know "It's not official content and not realistic/not high quality" but it's there, and the NGTC mod is fun to drive. Wouldn't mind seeing something like TCR. iRacing has just got the A3 but I don't know if it's FWD or RWD. It's probably front, if it follows the road car.
TCR is always FWD I have the BTCC mod and is very nice to drive. I've tried the NGTC mod but was no fun to me. And if there would be an offical FWD maybe it would also benefit to some present and futur mods ;o) Claude
NGTCs need to be driven in a certain way to quickly and it's very weird, and much prefer the RWD BTCC cars. BTCC and TCR on the same track would be entertaining.
Unfortunately, no mod in rfactor2 fully reflects fwd physics. If you want to feel how auto fwd should behave, try Raceroom.
rfactor 2 fwd cars are just wrong they don't feel realistic at all. I hope this is not a physics engine related issue as im to a fan of fwd cars especially civic
RRE is no option to me as I don't like the sim. I don't like the fact that I can't creat custom skins and and the I don't like the buisness model. Claude
RRE too arcade and simple, no, front-wheel drive vehicles seem like a waste of time to me, obviously everyone has their own tastes, tommy's seat leon are fine,or simco https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/irg-tcr-series-by-simco.59000/ tommy78 https://tpongracz.wordpress.com/downloads/
From a recent interview with Marcel at RD: RD: (question from @T04STY) - Will we see GT4 or TCR cars? MO: Yes, but I don’t want to disclose yet which of the two.
I prefer GT4, a question that I don't know right now, are all GT4 rear-wheel drive? or do there exist front and rear according to the car?
GTs, GTs, GTs and more GTs. There are more cars besides GTs. I agree with the OP. I don't like FWD cars, but we need more variety in rF2 .
well TCR have a few championships all over the world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_TCR_Series_champions
In my opinion BTCC is the coolest FWD championship, and we already have a very good BTCC mod. Thx to Next Gen Mod Team.
What about, Indycar, Stockcar, Formula Renault, Tatus, Formula Isi, Clio, Megane, F2,. There are more cars ingame. Just use them.
lol funny you say that since the quality of physics in some cars dropped compared to ISI (same guys are building them btw so...)
