HeadlightsRequired = true // whether headlights are required at night Surely this could be a selectable option in the server multiplayer.ini file so that it was easier to control and some people don't always know what button is Headlights as a lot of leagues don't do night races. But back to the utility, I have it working but it will only flash atm but I will have another crack at getting it working later great to see these sort of options appear from the community.
I'm getting an avg alert on the exe, anyone else have the same? I'm guessing not or there would be posts here.
No-one else has said anything and https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/...4a20d2edb46938cc4eb20b9e15edd23e79c/detection gives it an all clear. I read that there have been several reports over the years of viruses in pyinstaller (used to make my Python code into an .exe) but the ones I looked at were false alarms. I've reported it to AVG as a suspected false positive and will let you know.
Hi! This would be great, but don`t work for me. I have everything upgraded, including the rFactor2SharedMemoryMapPlugin64.dll in bin64 folder. I have H mapped to headlights... and the car is flashing headlights in the pits, but I can`t change any options. Basically the buttons on the plugin are dead. Any way to solve this? ps - Also I think the headlights flash to fast. In the real life, the flashes are 2-3x slower. Thank you!
Are you clicking on the Select ... buttons to set up your buttons? And there are slider to set how fast the headlights flash - one for overtaking and one for the pits.
Ohhh It´s working. I was expecting to have a message after pressing select, like "click on any key" . Thank you
No idea what that might be. It does unzip the contents of the .exe/archive into a temporary folder (%TEMP%\_MEI******) and run it from there, maybe there's a permission or disc space problem?
A great idea and works really well - thanks for creating it. Any chance this logic can be applied to the AI cars? PS) I just ran as administrator and it worked - had the same error as RoWo prior FYI
It can’t be applied to AI cars, it’s just faking the "Headlights" key press and doesn’t even work when the AI is driving your car. I run Windows with an account with administrator rights so that may be @RoWo's problem but it’s odd that it sometimes works.
The "good" news is that I'm now getting "Failed to execute..." every time so at least I can debug it. The bad news is that I don't know what caused it!
Much time wasted and I'm no clearer what the problem is that I have! But I have added two files to https://github.com/TonyWhitley/rF2headlights/releases/tag/V0.4.40 that may help get to the bottom of your and @buzz hornet 's problem: 1) rf2headlightsDEBUG.exe is the same program but with installer debug turned on. Open up a command window and run it like this Code: rf2headlightsDEBUG.exe >rpt.txt 2>&1 If rf2headlights doesn't run then post the file rpt.txt here. 2) rf2headlights.zip takes it one stage further by not packing into a single file, instead unzip it into a folder and then run Code: rf2headlights.exe >rpt.txt 2>&1 Thanks for your help (assuming you haven't given up!)
After upgrading to Windows 1903 it stopped working, also the checks on the right column disappear even clicking on them several times.
