Thats good example of the case when improving the physics doesn't make for improved handling and causes some criticism, or even straight up negative reactions.

Surface temperatures spiking up for sliding rubber makes great sense, and tire loosing huge amount of grip way above it's operating temperature range is not unbelievable too.

Thing is no tyre model is going to be perfect. Rf2 is possibly the best one out there but still has issues.

Having said that what's the consensus on reiza tyres. I'm really not sure what to put in the first post as I have too much contradictory info..

For the sake of keeping this thread updated I added the tatuus cars, im suspecting nothing has been added to the tyre model since the gt cars (like say iracing/AC update their TM) but maybe adjustments under the hood probably. Im presuming they are using the new shaders as well?

Any official content will use the current tech at the time. But I also think it's important not to overstate the changes made to the model over time - rarely do cars feel completely different after an update. The base tyre model and philosophy remains unchanged since rf2 was first released (which is a good thing).

Then why is the Nissan GT 500 so 'different' from even the US2k which shares the same tire?

Maybe because same tyre model doesn't mean same tyre.

@LokiD please could you add the official street car Corvettes in rFactor2 to that great list? All released in Nov. 2014

Corvette C6 Coupe = OLD CPM (pre october 2017)
Corvette C6 Grand Sport = OLD CPM (pre october 2017)
    Corvette C6 Z06 = OLD CPM (pre october 2017)
    Corvette C6 ZR1 = OLD CPM (pre october 2017)

Or maybe only add as one line:

    Corvette C6 (Coupe, GS, Z06, ZR1) = OLD CPM (pre october 2017)

To my knowledge rF2 QSA means "Quasi Static Analysis". There was a problem/enhancement found in rF2 CPM tire model, corrected by CPM QSA model. Basically it was found that the contact patch realistically is bigger, which adds some more grip. Thats the best i can explain, cause i didn't fully understand the problem either. It's of course more complicated.

That’s also my understanding , except that the issue was in the previous QSA (QSA is not something new in CPM 2, just improved)
Anyway the issue was ( mostly) occurring at high speeds / high load. There was Michael Borda’s blog post describing it.

Is this related to high speed oversteery feeling? can you please post the blog link?

Is there any way to upgrade FISI_2012 tyre model? or is it completely upto devs?
Because these old tyres are broken.

No, and I wouldn't hope it will be updated soon.
But why do you think it's broken? It surely is not ideal as they are CPM v1 I believe, but they feel fine for me.

The front tyres tolerates way too much slip angles before giving in or understeer.

That statement doesn't make any sense. How can a tire tolerate too much slip before it understeers? The moment slippage occurs, the understeer happens

even if you turn little bit tyres are actually slipping meaning tyres are generally slipping at any corner.
Understeer or oversteer occurs when slip limit of tyre at given speed is exceeded.
So what i meant by my previous statement is that car understeer much later for steering angle or slip angles it is in.
