Now that the Tatuus are released, is there any other DLC carpak in S397's future? Jan's thread about the lack of a GTE Vantage got me thinking of this. Has there been any mention of further Endurance/Sportscar DLC paks? We've had discussion here about the ease of introducing an Oreca based LMP1(Rebellion) But I'm not sure any real project has been announced. Anyone heard anything?
I'm hoping for Endurance Pack 2, featuring Ligier JS P217 Dallara P217 Ligier JSP3 Aston Martin Vantage GTE Ford GT GTE
This will turn out to wishlist thread. I love classics and road cars by the way Most definitely priority will be endurance and modern cars, most definitely modern endurance cars. Also modern sprint racing cars, those GT3 cars just never ends.
As we are in the area of wishlists for future content ... not really I would like to see a 1975 IMSA car set. Give me the 911 RSR, 3.0 CSL, a Greenwood Corvette, a Camaro and maybe a 365 GTB and I will be a very happy man. An Endurance Pack 2 as mentioned above would be nice aswell, but some more love for cohesive historic content would be nice. Historic GT or touring car racing is, where rF2 lacks quite a bit.
Me neither. But there will be some time to do it until new content for this sim arrives and there is nothing wrong about dreaming about h-pattern cars that go sideways with wheels going up in the air
I wish they implement Realistic Gearshift(H-pattern/Clutch ) after UI/Comp system. After that I like to see modern F1 in rf2.
I don't think any further upcoming car content has been mentioned at all, has it? Obviously there will be some! But I can't think of anything specific.
With all the content I am already more behind afterwards everything to test! My priority is currently at the Formula Vee. If you can drive this car, you can drive everything else. The perfect car to learn for those who really mean it! BIG thanks to Reiza and S397 for this content . It's really a blast! With this car I improved a lot in a week compared to the last year where I started with Sim Racing .
I may be a little off topic, but I have curiously counted how many cars 100% S397 were created on average per month : 1.09 ! 35 cars in about 32 months, it's pretty good!
I wouldn't mind having a modern car, but modern F1 cars will require quite significant changes to implement all electric systems and IMO having a modern F1 car without the full range of electric mappings implemented would not be worth it. For example the Codemasters F1 cars have very rudimentary/simplified controls for things like ERS and harvesting, it's almost like they know it's too complex to even bother implementing it. In real world F1 drivers toggle a dozen of switches during a race depending on what state the race is in. Some of the things they do that I have learned over the years: -PU modes depending on if the car is behind the safety car, warmup lap, "party mode", etc. -Multi function switches that control a gazillion of things -Differential switches for the electronic differential -Launch mappings for a number of different clutch settings for the start -"Presets" for different tire compounds -Switches for harvesting -Virtual safety car display -Hundreds of sensors that show information on the dashboard or get triggered in case of fault -Throttle map changes during the race (usually during the pit stop) to accommodate for the fuel level (this is allegedly why Raikkonen spun after the pit stop in Montreal hairpin in 2014/2015). All of this is incredibly complex and would require implementation. Driving an F1 car has become almost like being an airline pilot where "driving" itself is just one task, the other is to control buttons and respond to messages on LCD. I'd like to see more historic cars as I reckon the rF2 engine currently comes most alive with historic cars, especially the suspension and the tire model.
@stonec imagine having all those features but having an AI that reacts like max verstapen vs Lecrerc ...."get out of my way i must win here !!!!!!!! ". modern F1 is bound to codemasters we never gona have it
A generic naturally aspirated (so not Toyota) LMP1 would fill out the endurance field a bit, and the Ford GTE since it's so iconic. But then, in the time it's taken URD to update their packs someone might their own in first!
I'd rather see the 4 DPi + Aston GTE instead. Maybe the Ford DPi already since they like to be the first sim to host some stuff
