I'm working on a gateway version with the oval and infield track... maybe I can finish it soon!

A good Detroit and a completely redone St. Pete are also needed.

    About
This mod features the DW12 chassis with the Universal Aero Kit, which has been chosen as the car for the 2018-2019 IndyCar Series. The teams are not all there, and the ones that are are missing most(if not all) sponsors, but the colour schemes are correct, so you can easily tell who's who.

    Notes
There are two different steering wheels, they offer no performance differences, they're just different looking.

    Known Issues
Not a lot of car skins
Suspension can interact with the tires/rims
Weight Jacker not adjustable in cockpit
Rim animation not working for some reason
No chrome rims, they will be added when the pbr shaders are made public

    Templates
    Templates are in rfactor2/templates

IC18_Car_Template.psd - This is the main template, body, wings, etc.
IC18_Floor.psd - The floor of the car, most are just blank, but I've included this just incase anyone wants to paint it.

Saving format - Main body, anything you like. Floor, xxxFLOOR.dds. If you edit a team, the genstring is for exhaust type.

Thanks Coutie. How do we identify this particular Indycar 2019 from the other one? I found the IC8 templates, but I'm not sure about the name for the main files? What group of Indycars do we select from the car list?

    cheers

Thanks, the other one is very similarly named, so as not to confuse the one we want is Coutie = "Indycar 2019". Got it!
Is this a whole new car template compared to the previous aborted version?
Will we be able paint the driver gloves in the new Driver template?

Looks good visually, although I do note that the wheel brake plates on the front inner wheels on the show room seem too far into the wheels, but Ok on the track. Front tires seem wide as commented by others on steam. All things that can be adjusted if desired.

    Good work.

The templates are in rFactor 2\Templates, IC18 is the prefix. They are different than the old ones.
The driver is xxxDRIVER, left hand is xxxEXTRA8, right is xxxEXTRA9, but I don't have the template for those.
I'll look into the tires, I have to make chrome rims still, so I can do that at the same time.

After a few short laps, I can all ready say I'm going to be spending a ton of hours driving this car! Really looking forward to the updates. I have to play around with the brake. Not sure if it is car set up, controller set up, or something off with the physics, but the brakes do seem to be touchy for me.

I do echo datasting's comments on the speedway rear wing. I'm not sure if something got scaled wrong and was missed. But again great great work!

Agree on both points, if the brakes haven't been touched in this update then they are absolutely too touchy.

You can drop the brake pressure in the setup, I probably raised it while I was making the setup.

Bigger wings, smaller front tires + rims.
