Great car, fantastic job! A couple of requests: can you make the side mirrors independently adjustable? Also, the engine sound is biased to the left. Can you center it more? Otherwise, amazing! Thanks for all your hard work!
I launched a small update, the mirrors are corrected as well as several other things in the physical, I thought about implementing the new IBL material, but after trying it I was not very convinced with the results, I would like to know what they think about the IBL theme.
this car and Ibarra is an awesome combo and engine.... is one of the best engine sounds on rf2 2 little things: - i notice that rear camber is locked - is it normal that brake pressure range could be set from 90% to 246%?
@dazzer , Mate this is sooo much fun. The AI are smashing me at the moment so I obviously need more practice but I'm having a blast trying to keep up. A big T H A N K - Y O U Oh, and keep up the good work.
Yes, although the mod was uploaded with errors, they are all solved now. I would like to advance more with the other cars, but the datsun has many mistakes to solve yet.
First of all, thank you very much for this awesome piece of content and your ongoing efforts to improve the mod. I started using your old 70s touring mod some time ago and it was lots of fun, so it is nice to see it improved even more, especialy with stuff like working wipers, rain and damage shaders. The scratches and dents make it just so much more life like The FFB is great, the handling is great and the sounds are some of the best when it comes to internal and external sounds, let alone the cars idling in the pit lane. I just spent ten minutes after a wet race at historic imola watching the drops falling into the puddles while listening to this wonderful idle sound. Besides the things, that allready have been mentioned, there are two things that would make this mod perfect, so prepare for some nitpicking (that's just how good the mod allready is ). First of all I would like to see a historic driver model in the cars, so propably from the Dissenter or the 70s F1 cars. I think The Celicia GTO mod uses this, so maybe you can get help from them or S397. The other little thing I would like to see improved are the dash instruments. I know, graphics aren't everything, but a few more polys to give those a round shape shouldn't hurt. Especialy for people playing with lower FOV or VR this should give some pleasent improvments. AI seems pretty fast aswell, but maybe I just need more practice with the car. Fantastic wotk so far. I hope you can get the new PBR stuff to work at one point, that would be the icing on the cake.
Very fun cars to drive, once you work out the right AI strength which for me was around 80% they are an absolute blast to race with, watching back on the replay is great to watch the AI charge through the field and have very little trouble dicing with each other. Even had my win stolen by the a guy that was in 4th place at the start of the lap . I'll second hitm4k3r's comment on the sounds, very easy to just sit in the pit menu and listen to the cars run down the straight. With the dash instruments, is it just me or does only one of them work currently, none of the needles move bar the RPM needle and the RPM instrument is unreadable, its just scratches and grey colour for me (edit: I jumped the gun, was running the 0.1.4 version, since updating to 0.1.5 the rpm is readable). Looking forward to your improvements and the rest of the cars, love the little touring cars!
Good. If possible, changing to a tachometer with a pitch of up to 12000 rpm made by Smith further enhances the atmosphere as a racing car at that time.
